I’m so disappointed in my gel manicure today. I stopped in yesterday and showed them a photo of what I was looking for (a 1930s half-moon manicure). I understand that it’s not a typical manicure, so I wanted to make sure they could do it before I made an appointment. I was assured they could do it so I made an appointment. I wanted my nails done for an event coming up.

The owner, Leo is NOT professional and does not have any decent customer service skills. He raised his voice at a family member of mine after asking her if she spoke English. She is an American, who is very much competent in speaking and understanding English. After speaking to 2 employees, they also told us the owner has a bad temper daily. I was just wowed by the discrimination. If you are a person of color, I don’t recommend coming here.

This is my second time coming to this salon and let me tell you, it’s an experience! Both times my mom and I were treated very well. The staff is very professional, clean, and really know how to do nails. I know it might sound cheesy, but I felt like royalty here! I really do recommend this spa. It is a little more on the pricey side but you really do get what you pay for!! 10/10

My first trip to Glam A spa was a wonderful experience. Everyone was very kind and professional. Drinks while we waited. Beautiful environment! I had a gel manicure done by Vicki and my friend had hers by Rose – absolutely fantastic jobs by both ladies! Not only were the manicures perfect, but they also included a shoulder massage which was heavenly. I will certainly be back!!

Decided on the Ocean Pedicure which is more than I normally pay for my nails and feet at another spa. I sat for a long time in the water it eventually became cold waiting for someone to start. When finally the technician sat down she was less than friendly, seemed rushed – she kept looking at her watch – and she made me feel very uncomfortable. This morning upon further review of my feet My toe nails are cut so badly I could have done them my self as wall as the polish which is thick and looks horrible. Decided on the Ocean Pedicure which is more than I normally pay for my nails and feet at another spa. I sat for a long time in the water it eventually became cold waiting for someone to start. So I called ahead to make an appointment at 6:30pm. Upon leaving the house, I realized they tried to call me a few minutes after 6pm, so I called them back. The guy that works the front desk told me they were ready for me earlier… but since I had an appointment I told him I would be there in 8-10 minutes, which put me arriving at 6:35pm. Once I got there, I had to get the attention of the guy at the desk (since he was on his phone he didn’t even notice me enter the salon), and he told me to pick a color, and then said he wanted to do the checkout process. I said I’d rather wait until after the service to pay (since that’s the normal order). He then told me to have a seat and that the wait wouldn’t be long. I asked how long and he refused to give a definite time. I looked over and could see that the girl who my appointment was scheduled with had just started someone else’s manicure, even though I made an appointment in advance and communicated my exact ETA. So basically they gave my appointment away, and once I realized that (and that dude man at the desk wanted to charge me BEFORE I realized this) I left. The guy at the desk tried to defend himself by saying they were waiting on me, but that was at an earlier time I had not agreed to. This place is nice, but it’s definitely more expensive than other salons. I don’t mind paying a premium for a excellent service, but giving away my appointment time and making me wait an extra 20 minutes when I’ve got a baby at home who’s on a schedule falls well short of that expectation.
