Staff at the Pawleys Island Location are friendly, professional and you feel they care about your wellbeing. Katelyn is top notch and a great asset to their office. The assistants also make you feel cared for. I have been to Mt. Pleasant location a few times as well and the staff their is great as well.

Today was my first visit to this office. I was a patient of another Dermatology Office since 2017 but after years of billing errors, I had to find a new practice. I was very happy with the experience today at Germain Dermatology in Pawleys Island.

I went for my yearly check up on May 11th. On May 9th I crushed my right middle finger at work and did not seek medical attention. Thought I could maybe care for it by myself. Knew I had an appointment 2 days later and would ask the Dr. if she thought I needed to seek medical attention. When Dr. Stalbird came in she looked at it and went and got Dr. Barach. He said it looked like I had fractured the tip of my finger and that the nail needed to be removed and nail bed repaired. He said he could do that if I wanted to wait around for a few minutes and I agreed to let him repair it. After he repaired it I went to get x ray. I took x ray back to him and it did confirm that I had fractured the tip of my finger. The office then contacted a hand specialist and I got in the next day to see him. Dr. Barach was concerned that I would might have to have surgery and a pin placed in my finger. I did not have to have surgery. I have to wear a splint and let it heal on its own. it will take 4-6 weeks for the bone to heal and several months before the nail will grow back. I am so THANKFUL I did not seek medical attention when I did it and had my yearly appointment two days later. Walking into an urgent care would have delayed the care I received at Germain dermatology and the healing process. All the Drs and girls in the office were great. Erin, Shauna, Victoria, Christy and Rita were so helpful and accommodating during this experience. They even called me the next week to see how I was doing and if I needed to have surgery. They went above and beyond!! I highly recommend this practice. Thank you all very much!! Chris Skoog
