Went into shop to get my hair cutt my 7 year old daughter with me and the barber and customer were fighting over a hair cutt. Yelling at each other in front of me and my daughter along with other customers. One of the most unprofessional things I’ve ever seen. Then when I called to talk to the owner they hung up the phone. This is an “old school” barber shop. This isn’t a fancy national chain haircut establishment. I’ve been there, done that. They don’t have an app to schedule an appointment. You can’t watch multiple sports channels on TV. They don’t offer a free haircut after your punch card is full. You sit in an old-school barbers chair not an office chair that swivels. They don’t offer any of those gimmicks, just excellent haircuts! I’ve been going to George’s for years and have always received an excellent cut at a very affordable price! Their staff is always friendly and down-to-earth. To finish off your haircut you get warm foam shaving cream on the back of your neck cleaned up with a straight razor! During my last visit I enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show while in the chair. This is the best haircut establishment in Valparaiso, period!

Took my husband and my son in for a haircut and we got more than just a haircut! My son who is 5 and the owner started talking, my son who talk about everything brought up gymnastics, and somersaults, my son asked if he could teach him how to do one, and he sure did! Right after the hair cut he showed my son right there in the shop how to do a somersault! Had us all laughing and cracking up. Definitely a family barber shop! And will definitely be coming back!
