Been looking for a barbershop for a while and I am happy to have found this spot. Would never have crossed my radar as I live in Austin and work in San Marcos; I’m not trying to stop in between a whole lot. But this spot is legit: it’s clean, bright, and an easy space to be in. People talking and laughing and just messing around. Jonathan got the skills and easy nature that you expect from a barber and I didn’t realize how much I’ve been away from a shop since I’ve moved to Texas. Thank you to the establishment and its owners for a great setup and thank you to Jonathan for putting up with my difficult hair. I’ll be back as I liked it so much to already book a future appointment. And left a great review. 10/10 would recommend. Worth it.

Tried this place about a month ago and was super happy with my experience. The barber did an excellent job-so I decided to come back to get fixed up for my wedding. They did not disappoint! Me and all my groomsmen came in and got our cuts. This place is so welcoming and the vibes and atmosphere are super chill. Staff is friendly and cool. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been coming coming here for a couple of years and been with my barber, David, for even longer. The people here are friendly and offer the best service I’ve had in the Austin area. David provides excellent haircuts and is one of the friendliest barbers in town. Couldn’t recommend him and the rest of the barbers more if you’re looking for a new barbershop!

I haven’t brought myself to go again but I went late in 2020 and while I get it, covid was still “a thing” I just felt like they were rude. It was my first time checking them out and as with other barbers the first time I try them I’ve gone in person. I was just going to get a beard trim as i had dreads at the time. I went in and sat down and just figured I’d wait for whoever was available and then see if I liked the way they cut so I could set up my next appointment. I didn’t know they were appointment only and it wasn’t on their store window or anything. I didn’t view their website I had just looked them up on Google and went in to check it out. I thought about checking them out again a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to bring myself to do it because of the distaste it left, the dude was just very short with me and rude in telling me they were appointment only. Remember how momma used to always say, it’s not what you said but how you said it? Something like that. Anyways Google popped up and asked me if I wanted to leave a review just now so here I am. They seem to have good barbers and loyal customers but as an outsider visiting for the first time, the atmosphere was cold to me.

We are just loving the cut, style, and overall experience from Gentleman’s Grooming! My son is particular about his hair and doesn’t not like getting haircuts. He has never smiled so big and loved the look as much as he did today! The shop was a perfect balance of fun and skilled. So glad to find this Kyle gem! Kids’ cuts

I took my 6 yr old son here today for the first time and we loved it!! Krystal was awesome, and she was so sweet with my son. It really put him at ease and he just talked her ear off! I had to post a Google review about my experience at Gentlemen’s Grooming 101 in Kyle Tx. Since moving to Kyle about three years ago I have been looking for a place to get my haircut. I have tried several but once I took the opportunity to go to this barbershop I realized I had found what I was looking for. This shop is very conveniently located in downtown Kyle. I was able to make a appointment for a specific time, and not just sign in and get on a list and then have to wait. I was greeeted by a very nice, friendly young lady, Heather who made me feel right at home. I had made my appointment with Chris and I can’t say enough good things about the haircut I got. I highly recommend Gentlemen’s Grooming 101 to anyone looking for a welcoming, friendly, traditional barbershop experience! I always try to support local businesses when possible and I will continue to support Gentlemen’s Grooming 101 as long as I have hair!
