At Gentleman Jack Barbershop you will find an atmosphere of authentic vintage barber decor and monumental furniture in our shop. We cater to gentleman on the go. Come on by and get your self an old fashioned shave or a cut. Our chairs, poles and equipment date back from 1890 to 1930. We started this company because we wanted gentleman to experience a time of old school traditional barbering. We specialize in scissor over comb styling, professional fade cuts and hot towel shaves. Come stop by for a beverage and a good old conversation. We take pride in cleanliness and have all covid compliance procedures in place. We pride ourselves with our safety and cleanliness. We look forward to meeting our guests.

Honestly when I’ve come here twice so far and I would say that the management are really nice and considerate. They know how to start a conversation and get individuals comfortable. The reason for my rating is because I would not suggest this place for any individual that has a afrocentric hair type. While they do try their best it just doesn’t come out good at all. I would definitely suggest that if you end up coming here and you have Afrocentric hair do a small hairline/shape up and that’s IT. They should look into getting someone Afro Latino/Hispanic or Black or in general someone that can do black haircuts.

I needed a quick cut before a wedding I was attending in the area. The wait-times at other shops were long so I Googled and found Gentleman Jack and Ray’s (across the street). I looked at Ray’s which looked small and slightly busy so I kept walking for Jack’s.

Absolute horrible service today at GJB. Was told to wait after specifically making an appointment for a walk in. This “quick” walk in took 25 minutes to complete. Showed the barber a picture of what I wanted and said I wanted a low fade and to keep the top long. Instead, my sides and back where cut very short and high, and the top of my hair was cut really short as well. My haircut was completely rushed and I paid 30$ for half the time I was supposed be in the chair. Barber nicked both of my ears with the razor twice and could not have cared less. This is the least professional service I have ever received. When you charge someone 30$, you don’t rush through the haircut and do a lackluster job. Totally unacceptable. Wish I could rate this 0/5 stars.

Just went to Gentleman Jack’s barber shop in Ramsey. Old style barber shop, old barber chairs, Elvis playing in background. Awesome straight blade shave (my head too), hot towels, the real deal. I love places like that and great to have one so close. I went there for first time today. I feel like a pampered 1950s man. I highly recommend.
