At first I was very skeptical because i have never done any light color on my hair only black or dark brown to cover my grays. have seen how bad hair gets after and the damage it can cause if a lighter tone wants to be achieved if not done correctly. Nonetheless I made the decision to make a change after all hair grows right? I have to say that I was not disappointed at all, Dayana was my hair stylist and she is very knowledgeable and friendly, everyone was. She answered all my questions and I loved the final product. The salon was recommended by my sis-in law. At first I was very skeptical because i have never done any light color on my hair only black or dark brown to cover my grays. have seen how bad hair gets after and the damage it can cause if a lighter tone wants to be achieved if not done correctly. This place is amazing! I will not go anywhere else. I love my hair and the color. I’ve done different things and change my look completely and the dedication that the hairstylist have is incredible. Ray, the owner is great and very talented. They do care about the health of the hair while making it look like a superstar. Check this place out!

Genesis, owned by Ray is an outstanding salon. Ray and his hair dressers take pride in all their work, Ray wouldn’t have it no other way. If in need of a new look or job at wanting a precision cut and excellent hair coloring you will get it here. I would travel to NY to get a cut until I heard about Ray! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I paid $510 to get my red hair to black with brown highlights. I cried because of how disappointed I was with the final result. The stylist doing my hair was diana and she didn’t even bother to hold any conversation with me. Raymon and Diana as well as one of the assistants Gloria all stood there just looking at me cry because of how disappointed I was and not one of them bothered to do anything about it. All these people want is your money. Don’t ever go to diana for highlights, she did a terrible job and at one point she was combing my teased hair and it hurt so bad I again started to cry. My mother also had an appointment with me at 2pm and they didn’t start on her hair until 3pm. These people will schedule you an appointment, give you an insane amount to pay and will treat you without importance. They want your money, don’t give it to them. It speaks volumes that I cried of disappointment and they didn’t bother to compensate me at all, no discount, no one wanted to stay longer to fix my hair nothing. This place is a scam, don’t come here there are plenty of other salons that are much more affordable and with way better customer service.

From the moment you walk in you are showered with kindness from the entire staff! The salon has a New York salon kinda feel to it…very tastefully done. I recommend Alicia, she listened to my needs and out did herself from color to beautiful blow out, big shout out to her!! Ray is a sweetheart, made me feel so welcomed! I went in for a consultation with Dee to talk about getting a balayage. My hair is untouched shoulder length Virgin hair except for the very veryyy minimal ends that I told her can be cut off if it’s a problem. I showed her a picture of a bronde balayage and she gave me a quote of $630 +$110 for a protein treatment AND that I would have to buy their shampoo and conditioner. That price is quite ridiculous honestly and is about 3x more what they advertise on their website. I’d be better off going to a NYC stylist to get something done at that price. I would’ve loved to give this place a chance because the atmosphere was pretty nice.

Ray and his girls are always on their game. I’ve made the mistake once of going somewhere else to try and save a buck but the damage to my hair wasn’t worth it. I would have had to cut all my hair off if it wasn’t for Rays skills. I love Ray and his protege Diana, you will too!

Super chic place. Ramond the owner is a riot! If you dnt like raw and realy, you may not like this place. He is alll about hair CARE and HEALTH . He broke it down to me as far as what my hair needs and what it was lacking. I paid 45 dollars for a trim, and blow out. The lady who washed my hair treated my type 4 hair gently and I was in heaven! I laughed the entire time and felt like he really cared that my experience was nothing less than fabulous! Now, I didnt give 5 starts JUST bc he takes a bit long and only bc he takes his time to explain and be attentive to each of his clients but with the salon selections in this area and my past experiences with salons in this area, the 2 hours was well worth it and i am a returning customer, hands down!
