I’ve been a long time client of another barber in Champaign, but after a very disappointing experience, I decided to look around. Tried 2-3 other places with various levels of service, and after going longer than normal without a haircut, I finally decided to look to our Google Overlords for their advise. Long story short, there was something that clicked with me when I saw Gene’s Barber Shop, so I decided to give him a try. He was just finishing with another client, so timing was perfect. One look around, and I knew I found the right place. Gene is exactly what a barber should be. He’s a gentleman, he’s a craftsman, he’s a conversationalist, and he gives a great haircut that’s priced just a little below what other people are asking. Bottom line: he’s my new barber! 100% recommend that you give him a try!
