I was sent to work here through an agency and was there for only 3 days because they decided to end my assignment. Honestly, I’m quite happy they did because first of all let me tell you that the Lead/Supervisor (Neli) was rude and very unprofessional. She not once said hi or asked me directly how I was doing. On the first day she didn’t explain things correctly and expected me to pretty much figure things on my own. If she noticed that you did something wrong she would yell at you in front of everyone and told you that you weren’t doing things correctly. As a supervisor I would expect her to approach you differently and ask if you’re having difficulty or if you have any questions rather than making someone feel uncomfortable. Secondly the Supervisor and her 3 friends took longer breaks, listened to music, were on there phones and would talk throughout the whole shift. One of them was even studying to become a U.S citizen during work hours. Also if you spoke to someone or even tried to start a conversation they would tell you that you were allowed to talk but not look at each other while doing so. I really hope the owner decides to hire someone that is professional and that treats everyone equally.

I adore Gemdo. It has been a few years since I’ve had the opportunity to work with them, but am looking forward to doing it again! The projects I’ve run with them in the past have been beautiful. Attention to detail and creativity is such a wonderful asset, and hard to come by, in a manufacturer! Highly recommend. Like any slightly smaller than the huge guys company, they may take a little more time and a few systems aren’t quite as defined, but this also means they’re nimble and able to work with people like me who show up with lots of dreams.

This lab had great potential but their customer service is horrible. The owner never speaks to you, even if you ask several times, as a client. They tell you they’ll send samples in a certain timeline, but they don’t follow it and then they send you samples completely different from what you’ve discussed with them. Needing a reply for an email takes 2-3 follow up and phone calls. If there’s an issue with a formula, and you give them a solution yourself, they stick with what they want to do, not what their client wants. Owner needs to organize with her team. They ask me for my shipping address every time even though they made me fill out a company profile form and have 3 email addresses to contact me on. I agreed to all their requirements to place orders and I was very excited to work with them but unfortunately they did not seem to feel the same way. They’re not willing to work with you at all nor do visiting them is welcoming. It was like they were doing me a favor by letting me visit their facility. I’ve been working in the beauty industry for over 8 years and this experience was my first. I hope they improve in the future but I will not be reccomending them to any of my colleagues. The owner, Patricia should reach out to her clients, especially if they are not happy. And if they’re a new client. I’m blown away by how unresponsive she is.
