This was my first visit to this nail salon as I was across the street having my vehicle serviced. The atmosphere was calm and they had a large selection of colors and types of gel nail polish. I was pleased with the service however my nails didn’t last as long as the tech bolstered (she said 3 weeks —which is typical for me but they lasted 2 weeks). Also the prices here are higher than I’m use to—-I paid 62.00 (before tip) for gel on my natural very short nail which did not include a manicure.

I’ve been having a hard time finding a good nail artist in the area, but the last three times that I’ve been here to Gel Nails I’ve had great experiences! The staff is very friendly, they listen to your wants, and they do a really great job! These nails were for my honeymoon, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more! She took my dream and ran with it!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI’ve been going to different nail salons in the Saginaw area for a few years now in search for a salon that I love and I’ve finally found the place! The environment is clean and cute with plants all over. The service was great! Very kind and talkative people with great technique. My nails are beautiful and not bulky or wonky. I walked in and got started right away. 12/10!I’ve been going to different nail salons in the Saginaw area for a few years now in search for a salon that I love and I’ve finally found the place! I love going to this place a lot. The prices are decent, nice staff. BUT I have noticed that every time I get my nails painted here, they seem to chip, crack and peel within 5 days to a week. I’ve been there 3 times actually, and every single time they just never seem to hold up for longer than one week. Keep in mind I do just get the gel polish, no acrylic. So i’m not sure if it’s just the polish that’s old or something but they need to do something about it immediately, I would love to come back but I don’t think I will be returning as i get the same results every time.

Incredibly DIRTY nail salon. The type of dirty you’d get a nail infection from. Saw no sanitation of anything. Didn’t even put towels down on the pedicure stations for the polish changes. Got 3 polish changes at this nail salon and the man didn’t even remove all the polish from my mothers toe nails before he started painting the next color on. Also was charged for shaping of nails when the man did not do that at all for all three of us getting polish changes. Removed my friends nail polish from around her finger with his own nail instead of a tool. Was charged $79 for 3 polish changes. They did nothing but remove old polish (barely) and put the new polish on. Mind you they’re charging $20 for just that. So why was I charged $79 for 3? The lady was incredibly rude when I tried to explain to her that the man did not shape or file our nails at all she was again incredibly rude claiming that he did even though she clearly wouldn’t know because she didn’t have the service performed on her nor did she perform it. All I gotta say is don’t go to this salon because there’s better and more affordable ones that actually clean and sanitize their salon. Also can tell they don’t regularly sweep their floors as they were filthy and had spider webs in corners and had a pile of dead skin and pedicure scrub surrounding the pedicure chairs. Sickkkkkkk.

Critical: Quality, ValueI just left this salon about an hour ago ago. We went here bc it’s the only one open on Sunday and so they take advantage of that and charge an extra $5 for each service, which I agreed to once I found out since it’s not clearly listed anywhere. My 5 yr old niece got a basic mani that took 10 minutes = $30. The glitter is clumpy and bits of it are already starting to come off. As an amateur who paints my own nails, I know that you need more than 1 layer of top coat to seal in large glitter particles. But sci m I to argue with someone who has almost 20 years of doing nails. The older one wanted a black tip French manicure bc the owner doesn’t do flame designs. They were both put under a dryer which created bubbles that wasn’t apparently in the salon but it was really obvious once we were outside. We went back inside right when we saw the bubbles to explain this but the lady owner insisted they were not bubbles, didn’t care to go outside to clearly see what we’re talking about, and even suggested that my niece messed it up even though she didn’t touch or do anything to her nails. The owner lady put another clear top coat on her nails and put them under the dryer again, but that didn’t fix the problem. The bubbles are still there yet I paid $35 for the service. I pick my battles and decided not to be confrontational, so just left after paying $67 for both manis. I didn’t leave a tip bc there was an extra $10 charge already and the owners get 100% of all the services. This experience was very disappointing. The owners seem like nice people, but this is business so most likely I won’t come back. I know this review may not affect their business very much but hopefully it will at least give you a fair warning. I think maybe they’re only good at doing Shellac manis bc it’s fast drying.Service: ManicureI just left this salon about an hour ago ago. If you have trouble dealing with your nails, hang nails and cuticles, I recommend Stephanie and Tommy owners of Gel Nails. They are very careful concerning cleanliness and do a thorough job. We will be back.

I asked to have my toenails shaped before having them painted, the gentlemen never shaped them, ok fine, but when I went to pay I was charged toe nail shapin…I never received the service. I was way overcharged. They were not friendly and it is not clean nor were sanitary procedures followed. Nail painting, Pedicure

Second time the woman at this location has poor customer service. She grew visibly upset at my request to be gentle and aggressively filed down the gel paint at end (so they will chip). In the end was overly charged for Childs nails mani pedi combo so much they naturally did not request tip. Do not recommend. Gel manicures, Pedicure
