I have a LOT of hair, on my face and on my head, and I don’t let any random ‘hair stylist’ come at me with clippers. Gabby has been my barber for going on three years now, and the only person I will allow to shape my beard (including myself). I’ve lived in three countries and half a dozen cities over the past 10 years, and usually manage to find a traditional style barber wherever I am, but trust me – GAS is the real deal. Gabby listens to what you ask for, even if it’s not totally clear, asks questions, and then asks for your input during the cut. No matter what you ask for, he’ll say “easy”, and you will leave happy, with clean lines and a fresh look.

Had my first visit today and I was warmly welcomed by their staff, involved in the entire hair styling experience, and treated with respect. Always a pleasure coming here. I know I can expect the perfect cut and walk out feeling amazing. I also received the royal shave that I highly suggest you try if you haven’t. They do a proper shave down to the hot towel to open the pores. Then a cold towel to seal it all. Great attention to detail. Be sure to book you appointment in advance as spots fill up quickly.

This place is amazing! A hidden gem of Norwalk. If you are looking for quality and also up-to-date styles/trends, GAS is for you. I was taken care of by Star, who was welcoming from the get-go. She knows what she is doing with both clippers and scissors, something I always had a hard time finding. She is also very attentive to what you request, but will also give her expertise and make the cut work for you. I guess compared to some barbers it would be considered a bit more “expensive” but I think it’s worth every penny! Highly recommended!

It’s modern but at the same time shows you how the old school barbers worked. The barber is very professional and runs a tight ship. He gave me a towel treatment after my haircut and it honestly made my day. The service is great and this is now my new place for a haircut and great conversation. Ask for gabby
