This was my first time visiting Fusion and Tanya (Tonya?) cut and styled my hair. While the salon may have less frills than other NYC salons, they use high end products, the atmosphere is calm, and the prices are unbeatable. Tanya really listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted – curtain bangs with face framing layers. She checked in with me through out, for example confirming the bang length I wanted before cutting. I told her from the beginning I wanted to maintain my length as much as possible and she followed through. I’ve been to countless more expensive salons where they don’t listen and cut off several more inches than I wanted. She also styled my hair using protective and finisher products. I will definitely be going back.

The owner was very kind and welcoming, and gave me the opportunity to use a discount that was offered by a woman who formerly worked there. I hadn’t had a haircut since the beginning of the pandemic (I actually attempted to cut my own on three occasions with questionable results), and he gave me a lovely new hairstyle and encouraged me to come back anytime. Would recommend to anyone!

Decent. The only one on Roosevelt Island. Staff are friendly and experienced. Prices are fair and lower than the average. Hair stylists are middle age Russians. Nothing fancy but I would recommend it to everyone who is not too picky. What i like the most is that I don’t need to make an appointment weeks prior to my visit. They are available most of the time after a short wait, including on the weekends.

Great value, great quality and great customer service. So glad they were able to open up again. Great attention to detail and I felt well taken care of during these difficult COVID times. Also they were super patient with my vagueness!! What can I say it’s been awhile since my last cut! So excited to have a beautiful cut that will also grow out nicely!!!

Don’t be swayed by one inappropriate review. I have a great experience at Fusion Salon! I have been going there for a couple of years and would not think of going anywhere else. The place is clean and the owner and staff treat you like family. The service is terrific and the stylists really know their craft. The prices are reasonable and nobody gets ripped off. If you are not sure what a service will cost, ask before you begin. I give them 5 stars for a job well done!

I’ve been getting my haircuts from Boris and Mike from Fusion Salon for several years now. I got a nice professional haircut with a friendly and courteous service every time. The price is reasonable. I recommend this place.

The haircut is fine but I think I had a bad experience. Same experience as the review described above. The man charged me additional 20 dollars for style but I didn’t know there was additional price. I think she should let know it was 20 dollars more before “style” my hair.

Really good experience here. Simple and no-frills barber shop, but they do a great job for a good price (especially considering how they could just charge more in the absence of other competition on the island), and the people are really chill. I do wish they had later hours, but it’s a small place (family run?) so I get it.
