Critical: ProfessionalismThis salon came highly recommended so I was excited to find a Groupon for it. When I called to schedule, the person who answered was extremely rude to me. She first explained how the salon no longer honored Groupon because they don’t get much money for the service. She reluctantly offered me a time on a Thursday afternoon. When I explained that I worked during that time, she again explained the limited availability for groupon clients because “we have to pay the bills.” She repeatedly talked over me and reiterated why the salon didn’t like groupon clients. I tried to explain that I understood the predicament she was in and could work with them around scheduling but I needed more flexibility than being offered one time. She offered to call me back when the one person who will accept the groupon voucher has other availability. I declined this option because the groupon is set to expire soon. She hung up on me when I tried to ask if she could offer me any other availability. I called back a few minutes later and asked to speak with the owner to try and salvage the opportunity (after all, this salon had come highly recommended.) The same woman with a thick accent answered and I tried to explain to her that as a new potential customer trying to get into her salon this was a very disappointing first experience. Since she continued to talk over me rather than listen I told her I would be posting a negative review. She did not want to hear it and told me that “this is why we don’t work with groupon clients” before telling me that she did not want my business and hanging up on me.Bottom line – maybe this salon is fantastic at what they do, but they are not interested in new clients. Too bad.
