Alicia is hands down the best stylist in Denver. I went through countless stylists throughout my time there and none of them come close to comparing to her. She listens, she cares, she educates and she’s so down to earth. Every appointment whether it be for just a cut or cut and color she made me feel like I was her one and only client. A couple of years ago I had a horrifying hair experience with another stylist and she did a color correction on me that was out of this world. We ended up having to go a little darker than I was thinking but she thoroughly explained it to me during my consultation and truth be told, it is still one of my most favorite colors I’ve ever had. I truly miss her now that I’m living in Arizona but every time I visit, I make sure to get down to see her.

I went in to see Alicia as a new client. I had banding and brassy mids. At consultation conversations I explained to Alicia that my ultimate goal was to remove the banding and get a more ashy tone all over. Alicia was pleasant and we both seemed to be on the same page. Now I realize that some transformations take more than one session to achieve the ultimate goal, however, there is no excuse for a splotchy application. When Alicia blow-dried and curled my hair she faced me AWAY from the mirror. I suspect that was to hide the true nature of the color. I called my sister crying because as I was looking through my hair there was still a TON of banding and my hair was orangey on top and blue-ish on the ends where the toner deposited too much. My sister advised me to reach out to Alicia and express my concerns and Alicia’s response was “that she could retone her in a few weeks, and that she had used her strongest toner to remove the red.” My sister being a hairstylist herself knew that unless you lift out the brassy-ness the toner won’t do anything bc color doesn’t lift color. I sent Alicia a pic of the banding that I still had and Alicia said “oh that is because with a baylayage technique you only color the top section of the hair so there can be banding left behind.” THAT IS SO WRONG!!! She should have lifted the baylayage section to ensure that proper saturation of product was applied to the hair. Also, why would she even do a baylayage technique if her definition of baylayage was to only color the top section knowing that it would have left banding and the goal was to REMOVE banding? Finally after listening to EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE from Alicia I didn’t feel comfortable returning to her to have her fix her hair and asked for compensation. Alicia declined to give me a partial refund stating a no refund policy, which she failed to mention this policy during the consultation. Originally I had no intention of asking for a refund I just wanted Alicia to look at my hair and add some highlights to break up the brassy roots I was left with.

Alicia always listens to my hair goals and I have never been disappointed I have been going to her for almost 10 years now and won’t go anywhere else she fixed my daughters self hair cut perfectly when I thought all hope was lost she is truly amazing.
