Critical: ProfessionalismI never managed to get my hair done. I initially had an appointment Saturday, when I realized I was going to be late, I reached out – I was going to be 20min late and her policy per her advisement when I reached out to inform her I’d be late was that she had a full day and her cut off was 15 minutes – I understood, so I went back home and rescheduled for Tuesday, today. So I left 45 minutes before the appointment, gps said it was 30 minutes away… unfortunately the road to get to the salon was shut down in several segments along the way and it took me a little over an hour. Just as I pulled into the parking lot I received a message that she canceled my appointment. I ran in hoping to catch her – as she told me she didn’t have a busy schedule after me today and she was gone. I text her hoping she’d make an exception, but no dice. I 100% get how people can interpret lateness as disrespect, but I struggle with Lupus, the time, preparation, and energy it takes me to get out of the house and have appointments is a struggle, and the thought she had absolutely no compassion whatsoever. Needless to say I’m glad I had a Groupon for her instead of putting my card on file, I instead changed my Groupon to a different salon. I should mention she typically charges for missed appointments- so I highly discourage anyone from putting a card on file with this salon unless you just have money to burn. I’d give her less stars if I could find them. After all the efforts of trying to make that appointment, I am at home, under loads of blankets with a heating pad, a bit sad that what I thought was going to be a day of beauty and indulgence was a complete wash, and now I don’t even have the energy to bother washing my own hair. I will stick to salons that welcome walk ins, and have a bit more flexibility- at least on the days they don’t have a line of clients. Her policy is 15 minutes I was literally 18 minutes, and it felt more like she canceled my appointment out of spite than necessity – surely I could be wrong, but if she were genuine she could have called, she could have let me know about the road closures ahead of time so I could figure out how to avoid them. My appointment was at 1pm/ it’s not as though it was evening, and the extra 3 minutes I was over her window would not have drastically impacted whatever else she had planned – so all I can think is that she clearly only considers her own time and needs as valuable and has absolutely No Consideration for her clients – and that’s not anyone I’d let near my hair.I never managed to get my hair done.
