Do not apply face creams or sunblock in the eye area.
The oil found in many moisturizers prevents eyelash adhesive from bonding to the natural eyelash and reduces the longevity of your eyelash extensions.
Do not curl your lashes before your appointment.
Extensions will not adhere to crimped eyelashes.
Do not pull on any loose extensions or you risk plucking out your natural eyelashes.
Do not attempt to remove the lash extensions yourself; allow the extensions to fall off naturally or schedule an appointment to have them professionally removed.
Do not put on mascara.
Removing mascara can be very time-consuming and any residual makeup will prevent proper application of the extensions.
Do not use an eyelash curler on the lash extensions or try to perm or tint them.
This will break the bond on the extensions and might damage your natural lashes.
Do not use oil-based products (oil-based eye makeup, makeup remover, moisturizer, cleanser, sunscreen) on or near your lashes.
Use products of non-oily, non-creamy formulas to remove eye makeup. Oil-based makeup products will dissolve the adhesive on the eyelash extensions and will cause your extensions to fall out sooner than expected.
Do not wear eye makeup.
Makeup close to the eye area must be removed prior to the application process. Use a mild, oil-free cleanser. Do not use oil-based makeup removers.
Does Waxing Hurt?
Depending on the area being waxed (which affects the coarseness of the hair) and your sensitivity level, pain associated with waxing is relatively mild and temporary for most clients. Painful waxing experiences typically come from improper application and removal of the wax resulting in tugging of the hair and pulling, bruising or lifting of the skin. Ouch! An experienced waxer, such as myself, removes the wax strip (for soft wax) in a parallel motion to the skin’s surface thus resulting in the hair being lifted out of the pore and leaving the skin in place. A waxer should NEVER lift up on the wax strip when removing. This is what causes most damage and pain to the skin. Hard wax is a better alternative for more sensitive areas as it does not adhere to the skin, and is gentler during removal. Generally, most clients are sensitive where there are the most nerve endings and that is typically the upper lip and the fundal mound of the pubic bone. I often apply pressure to the more sensitive areas after removing the wax as this tricks the nerves and calms them immediately. Numbing cream is also available for purchase for those who are overly sensitive to the pain sometimes associated with waxing.

I have very unruly, frizzy hair. A trip to the salon helps but only for a few days before it get backs its usual self. I finally settled on doing a Brazilian blowout to help tame my hair while still retaining its natural texture. I was a bit hesitant since I don’t like doing too much stuff to my hair but my stylist Sandy did a great job. I wished I had gotten one sooner. I got a decent deal on the Brazilian and was expecting some issues with the quality. But even weeks later after my appointment my hair is much more manageable, much less frizzy, and has a nice natural shine. Thank you Sandy!

My roots were dark so I went to get my hair hightlighted. The stylist was nice but she did the entire top half of my hair dark. The whole purpose was to lighten my roots not to make them even darker. I went back 2 days later because I was upset paying that much money and she tried to fix it, but it looked exactly the same. Huge waste of my time and money! They should have refunded me if they can’t do highlights.
