I took my boyfriends little sister to get her hair colored all over red yesterday, this is our first and our last experience with this salon. I noticed during the whole process the stylist seemed unorganized and wasn’t very attentive to her. We showed her an inspo picture of what she was wanting. And 3-4 hours later it was opposite of what she asked for an wanted done. My boyfriends little sister realized how much more was messed up about it after we had left. There were random chunky light pieces and the dark pieces looked more brown than red. It was missing the richness in the red that she wanted. It was an unfortunate disappointment. I even messaged my personal stylist that i go to for her opinion followed by pictures of her hair and she agreed that they messed up. We went back today an expressed our concern and that she should be given a refund for the terrible job that was done. We spoke to the manager an she acted as if we don’t understand how coloring works but me an my boyfriends little sister have previous experience with how it works. An have had coloring done in the past at home as well as professionally in the past an we have never had something turn out as badly as this. The manager was being rude an talking over us when we tried to voice our concern with the final product and experience. She went on to say that my boyfriends little sister wasn’t saying anything (mostly because she wouldn’t stop talking) then his sister did speak up and got the same story from the manager saying you never know how the chemicals/color will take. Regardless she has had her hair colored perfectly from dark box dye to a perfect light color all over in August. When this was said, the manager replied that hair changes.

The stylist was nice, but she did everything I asked her not to do. I went in with my hair down to my waste & we agreed that my hair wouldn’t be any shorter than to the middle of my shoulder blades. She cut my hair all the way to the top of my shoulders. I explicitly told her that, that is exactly why I’m so afraid of going to salons & why I go years without cutting my hair. Now my hair is flat(can’t tell that there are layers so it lookks flat & basic) & the majority of my hair is gone. I want to cry.

I don’t plan on going anywhere else in Wichita to get my hair done. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it! My stylist was so nice and the environment of the business was cozy and classy.Highly recommend.

I walked in expecting them to be fully booked, but they were able to get me in about an hour later. Grace cut my hair and she did a great job! The salon looks nice and professional. The prices were good. I was very happy!

Nice salon. Very friendly staff. My issue was when I called I asked if someone there specialized in mens cuts and stressed I was very particular about my hair, I was assured the girl she chose for me was. My stylist was very nice and I almost hate leaving this review but I think if someone is told they will be helped by someone who “specializes” in mens cuts it should be true. My haircut isn’t “bad”, just not what I was expecting from your salon.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueDid a Keratin complex last week and was amazed at the quality of service and how extremely nice everyone was. Audrey strictly dedicated her entire time for my session which lasted about 6 hours and past the closing time but they were super nice about it. Will definitely be going back in the future!

I LOVE Fringe! The salon is always clean, welcoming, and trendy. I have been going to BLAKE OWEN for years and his skills are amazing! I was so scared at first because no one had ever cut my hair the exact way I wanted and he achieved it with one cut! I have never been the one to color my hair either but because he is so good, I let him do that as well. I am a very particular person about my hair and he has done a wonderful job every time, achieving exactly what i wanted without ever having to “fix” anything. He is very personable and professional. I recommend Blake specifically and the Fringe Salon to anyone I hear say they are wanting a cut/color. Great place with great people!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityMy first experience with this salon was horrible and I won’t go back. The stylist didn’t do what I wanted at all, and told me to come back two weeks later and she would fix it. This is the only time I’ve ever requested a redo from anyone, and I was very polite and even said I would make sure tip her again. When I showed up two weeks later, I hadn’t washed my hair per her request, as well as had more pictures to show of what I wanted. She sat me down in the chair and said she couldn’t fix it, showed me a picture of what she could do(one of the worst looking hair colors ever) and said maybe I should go to someone else! Why couldn’t you tell me that two weeks ago! I felt brushed off, and like she just wanted to get me out of the salon and out of her hair. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
