Critical: Professionalism, QualityI bought the Groupon and I’ll never do that again.I called and asked for a stylist experienced with curly hair (3b-3c) and they set me up with an appointment. Upon arrival, I was given a different stylist. She was friendly enough. I had layers put in my thick hair along with a trim to my ends, as I’m growing it out. Nothing crazy.Stylist decided, while I’m in the seat, to put on 90s rock. Ok, I can dig it. Until NIN- Closer comes on. I honestly wouldn’t have cared had there not been a CHILD in the waiting area. But who am I kidding? It’s unprofessional, full stop. I was tempted to say something but kept my mouth shut until a different stylist (possibly owner) came out of the back room and commented on it.Now, because of my curls, it wasn’t immediately noticeable that my hair was cut at two different lengths. I finally straightened it a week or so later and it’s glaringly obvious that the left side is significantly longer than the right. I consulted a stylist friend who confirmed this and am scheduling an appointment with a different salon. There were multiple other women there getting styled for events and their hair all looked great to me.I don’t have much experience with hair stylists but this has definitely turned me off to the idea. Will not be returning.Edit: I tip a full 20% on full amount of cost. Not on the Groupon cost. My only reasoning is bitterness based on the low cost? That or inexperience.Editing to add pictures.
