I arrived as a walk in with both barbers occupied with clients. I was promptly seen to and waited about 15 minutes in their very comfortable lounge. Great seating and atmosphere. Hector was my barber and discussed what I wanted with great attention. The cut was professional, and the end result was perfect. They take cards as well as cash. I would recommend and will be back.

Started coming to this barber shop and it’s a pretty awesome. Most of the barbers are pro’s, but overall the hot chick (Lupe, reminds me of J-LO), is not just gorgeous but she is a great barber, very professional along with great customer service. From now on, she will be touching my hair only.

Met my guy there to get his haircut. Shop was pretty busy and had to wait a bit. Luckily, the shop has big screen TV’s and comfy couches. Nice to know that half the barbers were female barbers and they seem extremely busy. Pretty clean and good size shop, however the parking not so much (only reason I’m rating 3).

One of the cleanest shops in town. My husband and son go in to get their haircut with Lupe, and she works her magic as always with both (they used to go to American Barber Shop, and the serviced has gone downhill). My husband even mentioned that he would follow her (within reason) if she ever leave or build her own shop. Overall, Fred’s Barber shop, one of the best shops in Kern County.

I’ve been coming to this barbershop for almost a year. It may easy to miss travelling down Rosedale Highway but you’ll be glad you stopped. Clean, professional and a friendly staff makes Fred’s a great place to get a haircut. When the wait is long (which can happen during certain times a day), you’ll be able to wait in a large waiting area filled with comfortable couches and large screen TV. When sitting in the chair, you also be able to check out your favorite game on another TV as well. Refreshments are available as are clean restrooms. Located off of Rosedale Highway just off West off the 99.
