Critical: QualityWent for a haircut. Specifically told the lady I wanted to keep my hair on the longer side and I showed a picture of what I was looking for. End result was a near buzz cut along the sides with barely an inch on top. Was really upset about it and all I got was a “sorry” as she turned away. I’ve been to Anna several times – the only one who cuts women’s hair; she gave me a decent cut each time at a fair price. My complaints are: one time I called and was told (by the male barber) to come right down; I didn’t need an appt because Anna was available. However, in the 20 mins it took me to get there, she suddenly got booked up and I ended up waiting about 1.5 hours to be seen! Then the last time I went, I showed up for my appt (scheduled a few days in advance) only to be told Anna was out sick. I sure wish they had called me to tell me not to come in!! Not worth the hassle.

Just ask for Mat. I tried many people and places around Newtown and in the end will wait as long as it takes for Mat. He usually has a lot of people waiting for him.
