If you’re looking for that old fashioned barber shop for men and what my Mom always called the “beauty parlor” for women, look no further. I’ve been living in West Islip since 1995 (born and bred in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn) and used to go to John’s Barber Shop. When John sold his place, he came here and is now deservingly retired. This place opened up a decade ago & I have been a steady customer ever since. Joe is my go-to guy. Support small businesses in WI.

Decent haircuts BUT very, very dishonest owner. Scammed a father of 2 to renovate his entire place in a single weekend- place looks amazing, BUT HAS NOT PAID A SINGLE DIME FOR THE RENOVATION- NOT EVEN FOR MATERIALS!!! SCUM SCUM SCUM!!! Ask around West Islip and hear the same thing- he doesn’t even pay his tab at the pizza place next door. I would not give him business, ever.
