I have been to this place 2 times before and this was my third time getting my hair done. I was happy with my last services and this time completely unhappy and disappointed. I showed Liz who happens to be a great person with good attitude, the hair that I was aiming for. She assured me she understood what I was looking for and the hair was brown and that was exactly the shade I wanted to stay away from. Then I made a second appointment with her to try and fix the hair with what she said my hair was light enough and just needed to change the toner. This made my hair worse and then I was made to look as if I changed my mind on the color. Then I had to be scheduled for the 3rd time and Nina who again was awesome but I didn’t get what I was looking for. Debating if I should just put black over it!!

I’ve been seeing Jameson for the past year or so now and he does a great job of styling my thick long hair! We did a balayage in the past, several glosses and haircuts and he even managed to fix a botched balayage that was done by someone else. He’s engaging and lets you know his opinions while also taking yours into consideration. I’ve recommended him to my friends who’ve also enjoyed getting their hair done by him. Highly recommend!

I am a teacher in the Plainfield school system that has been going to Frank Gironda Salon for 12+ years. Because I had a staff meeting that was going to run long and was not going to be able to make my hair appointment, I was told I was going to be charged 50% for the appointment. I asked if I could reschedule, which is what I was hoping to do. The girl I spoke with spoke to the manager, who would not make an exception for me. Thanks for the 12 years of service FG and I’m looking forward to finding a new salon that treats it’s tenured customers right.

My haircuts and hair coloring sessions have gone truly successful and never disappoint. She is one of a kind and assures her clients are well taken care of. Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review of both a specific stylist and the management of this salon. I had been getting my haircut by the same stylist for over 3 years and was very satisfied with the service. The last few haircuts weren’t as good, and it seemed like my stylist had become less careful. The last haircut I received was horrible. I have a pixie haircut and the sideburns on one side went almost to my earlobe and the other sideburn ended mid-way down my ear. I gave it a few days and washed it and tried to style it to look better but one sideburn is clearly longer. I called them to ask to come in and have them fix it. They took my name and number and said the manager would call me back. No call back so I called a 2nd time and spoke with someone who again took a message. 3rd day still no callback and when I called they said, (YES, you guessed it!) they would take a message. So now I have to find a new haircut. Good news is that it should be basic competence to find someone who cuts even sideburns.

I had a Groupon for men’s haircut. It was the worst haircut I’ve ever had! I doubt that the person who gave me the haircut knew what they were doing. It was the first time that I felt zero transformation after getting a haircut. And I wanted to complain when checking out but they didn’t even bother to ask me how my haircut was! Wow!!

Extremely rude behavior of the front office.. despite being a regular customer .. they completely mess out with appointments and then force to change without being accomodative.. some stylists are nice but front office is pathetic

First time here and had a good experience. Life happened and I didn’t have my hair cut for over 2 years so I was long overdue. Due to a bad experience in the past I’m anxious about haircuts especially with stylists I haven’t seen before.
