First off I would like to say if it was possible to give zero stars I would. This appointment was booked a month in advance, I was a guest at a local wedding. I was told my appointment was with a stylist named Sam who is awesome, was able to do both updos and make up . When I arrived I waited well past the time of my appointment and a young woman approached me and said I was now her client. I arrived with wet hair so they could blow dry me in preparation for the style. This young woman whose name I did not catch did not know how to blow dry hair properly, I actually took the brush and dryer and completed the job myself. With no pictures to choose from for my hairstyle I pulled something up on my phone and the young woman clearly was not confident she could do it and asked Sam who my appointment was supposed to be originally with to do it. He was in the middle of highlights. The one pretty much walked away and left me in the chair and I had ask Sam if anyone was going to help me. when he saw the picture of the style I wanted on my phone it became very clear very fast he did not know how to match the picture. I sort of went with the flow and told him let’s get the hair up and make it look classy at minimum. I could not believe his inability to style my hair with small pieces sticking out of the sides and bottoms, it was completely uneven and simply disheveled looking. We moved on to our make up session or Sam continue to complain if he knew he was having make up today he would’ve brought his own products in but he doesn’t have them, as a reminder I booked this appointment a month in advance. He was on able to glue false eyelashes on correctly I essentially had to show him how to use a Q-tip for dental application as every time he press down on my eyeball with acidic glue the other side of the last word pop up. And frankly the make up job over always pour the eyelashes took so long at one point I told him to just simply do my eyeshadow and nothing else and even that didn’t look like the smoky I had requested. Towards the end of the appointment as I understand everybody comes from different educational backgrounds in the style industry I still was leaving gratuity and Sam felt the need to insult me, push the $20 back towards me and say no you seem to need the money more than I do. So in summation well I can’t speak to cut and coloring for your styling and make up needs I would stay far away from the salon.
