My husband and father in law took our 2 year old son here yesterday for his first barbershop experience. He was so excited after we prepared him all week for it! Eric did a great job with him and even gave him a certificate for being brave and patient! Our son loved boys time with dad and papa, they will be making it a regular thing. All three of them came out with great haircuts and big smiles! Thank you for making his first barbershop experience so great!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityWent to get my haircut for Thanksgiving and regretted it instantly. Do note the older gentleman was cool to make conversation I wouldn’t say he was rude but his style of cutting hair is concerning. He was buzzing all over my head unevenly with no care. He literally had the guard corner go into my ear 4 times because he wasn’t paying attention… then he put the hard part going from the side to the center of my head. I asked what he was doing and he didn’t seem to have any clue. I asked him to talk to owner but the owner didn’t seem to care at all about my haircut or my experience. Drove from Florida to Illinois and came here for a last minute haircut for my man, did a walk in which they had him sitting down ready instantly.. they did a fantastic job on his head and did his eyebrows perfectly. Felt like a loving family atmosphere. Would highly recommend to others !

Really great experience. Walk in to what looks like the cleanest family party basement you’ve been to. Golf club coat hanger, old school looking electric hair tools, because they don’t make em like they used to. This barber shop is Midwest Dad, but your dad cuts hair, very well. It’s inviting and boring and perfect. Conversation is just enough, no frills, just a great haircut from your “dad”.

I saw a gentleman in front of me at Jewel and mentioned that he smelled good. He said he owns the barbershop next door. 20 minutes later, he gave me the best haircut I’ve had in my 44 years. I went back last week, and his partner delivered the same. Highly recommended.

All around nice gentlemen however the same can’t be said for your hair. Certain barbers prove worthy of their license whereas certain fall short of owning such a title. The most expensive and annoying part about it is finding your barber, the one that can cut your way. I’ve found myself getting redo after redo with different barbers, with some days leaving happy and sexy, or bald and pissed. Affordable but risky, For Men Only reminds you that your last minute haircut should’ve been planned out with a different place ahead of time. I do not recommend Eric, but I recommend Pat. You’ll quickly notice why Pat schedule is always full.

I needed a haircut. This was the only place that was open in town at 6:30 in the evening. Now I had been there a few times before and they didn’t do a great job on my hair, not terrible, but not great. This was my first terrible experience there. I told the guy three on the top, two on the sides and fade the back, and what does he do? Shaves my entire head. That was not what I wanted but he said he did it the way I told him. It really pissed me off. I’m pretty much bald now. He did the exact opposite of what I told him to do. I’m never EVER going there EVER again and I don’t recommend this place to anyone. If you need your haircut and all the other places are closed, just wait until the next day when they open up. Don’t waste your money here.
