I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any hair establishment. My boyfriend and I came in on July 8th and he intended to cut all of his hair off after growing it out for nearly 8 years to donate it to Kids for Wigs. My sister had cancer when we were little so he was very excited to do this. He had 13 inches in length and told Julie, the hair dresser, to cut off however much he needs to donate. She cut off exactly 10 inches. Then two more off. We just found out we cannot donate it since they require 12 inches. We are crushed and devastated. It will take years to get it that long again. In addition, she was rude and would not let me stand near him to take before and after pictures. I can’t warn you enough from going to this place. Julie doesn’t know how to cut hair or how to be a decent person. We take responsibility for not doing enough research about donating hair beforehand, but we thought we could trust a hair salon establishment and hair dresser for that information. Big mistake and in 5+ years when it grows back to 12 inches, we obviously won’t be back here.

My whole family goes to Floyd’s and we love it! They are always very friendly and fun when we come in. Great products admins service. I have been going to Julie D in Lafayette for over 6 years. Last night I went to my haircut appointment. The staff was very warm and inviting. This is the first barbershop I have been to that I actually enjoy the atmosphere. They’re incredible hair cutters. Nice, cool, the aesthetic is hilarious to me. But most importantly y’all just do a really great job. Every haircut I get here is incredible. There isn’t a single place that could possibly cut hair as nice and professionally as Floyd’s.

Wish I could leave zero stars. Can’t say anything about their actual expertise cutting hair…booked an appointment for 2pm which was confirmed by their system in two separate texts to me. When I arrived they tried to say it was actually at 1:30 and that they had no availability to get me in and nothing they would try to do to accommodate.

I don’t know what’s so confusing about the phrase “I’m happy with the length as is”, but this is the third time recently I’ve had a stylist here take too much off. Christine(?) didn’t just take off too much, she did it badly and reshaped my beard in a way that was not at all what I asked for, but it was too late by the time I got a look at it. I may just have to take the whole beard off and regrow after this carnage.

Went in for a quick hair cut. Made an appointment the same day. Place was clean, hair cut went quick and easy. Person cutting my hair took the time to listen to what I was asking for and did amazing and recommended some good hair product that they sell on sight. Coming back for sure!

This place has really fallen off. I’ve been coming here for years and I remember when I could get a haircut and beard trim for $30 total. Now the haircut alone is $30 and the beard trim is $15, an egregious price considering that it’s about 10 minutes of work. A lot of the good staff have left and are replaced by Karens who yell at you if you’re 5 minutes late and then charge you $45+tip for mediocre service.
