I called 5 West Madison Salon and spoke with Ashley. I was looking for a hair appointment on October 29 for an Up Do for a wedding. She told me right away there was nothing available. I asked her if the salon was open on Saturday, she said only for special people and she doesn’t need to come in otherwise. On their website it says they’re open on Saturday. I called back a little while later to ask her name because I did not catch her name the first time. I said thank you and hung up. She then proceeded to call me back to tell me she has a five-star rating. She was extremely rude when I called the first time and that’s not a way to run a business. The reason for calling her is salon is precisely because of the five-star rating. Her attitude and behavior is a one-star rating, at best. It must be nice not to need business. In the meantime, I found someone else that has five-star reviews as well and myself and four of my girlfriends made an appointment for that salon in New Buffalo. This review is not for actual services performed as the transaction never got that far. Attached is a copy of the voicemail left. Now it’s time for you to decide whether or not to use this salon!
