Update!! 5 to 1star-New review:went to get hair done, told Nabou, the owner my hair was just growing back from chemo in treatment for breast cancer. It was short but she promised it could be done. Needed transition while short hair was growing. Changed price when I got there. Entire time I said it hurt and was too tight they kept saying it’s short and will be ok. Had to take pain meds b4 they finished, said it works loosen up. It looked nice but didn’t know it was slowly pulling out my hair, down 2 the nape. Scalp stayed sore, braids started falling off w/my tires attached, eventually had 2 take them out early. Was left with balding edges behind the parts I left out! Bald spots where braids fell out. I contacted her twice, sent pics.. NO RESPONSE- she was blowing me up b4 have and I stayed after I was done to make sure she was safe on a cold night.

10/10 would recommend to ANYONE. I was in a hair crisis after my hair stylist cancelled on me last minute. Nabou stayed an HOUR late. She was so sweet and accommodating. Not to mention, my braids are PERFECT. She took her time. She never once acted annoyed that I was there or that she had to stay late. She was so pleasant the entire time. I will never forget her and the customer service she provided. I will definitely be back!

DO NOT GO HERE if you would like to keep your edges!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My hair has not been up for longer than two weeks and I already have braids falling out along with my edges. I asked for Marley twist and got a completely different thing along with different sized twist and the middle of my head looks like a playground. The owners sister rushed on my hair and braided down the middle as if I wouldn’t notice her rushed job. These twists look horrible and I would never recommend someone go to this shop the level of unprofessionalism was at an all time high. I contacted the owner days after realizing my edges were falling out and feeling around my head to see that her sister had did corn rows in the middle of my head to make a short cut for herself. I asked for my money back being that I paid 220 for LONG twist AND had to purchase the hair. Did not get length I asked for nor were the twist worth the amount of money I paid. The owner offered to do my middle over and I declined being that my edges were already falling out what are you going to braid? I came to her shop to let her see my hair for herself and she became very argumentative about MY hair even after accusing me of being someone else that had clearly complained about the service they received previously, and lying about her location when I told her I was on my way, when I asked for my money back she lied and told me she did not have any cash on her. After showing her everything that I was not satisfied with and getting a second opinion she continued to tell me that my edges were falling out because of the type of twist I got and the type of hair, she continued to put her fingers in my face after I told her several times to get her fingers out of my face, the owner showed no concern for the poor service that her customer received. THEN offered me 60 dollars not even half but 60 dollars as if that was going to make things okay. I have been getting my hair braided for years and I have NEVER lost hair or had an experience like this. Do not waste your money or your time going here!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor service and doesn’t know how to conduct business. Thank you for nothing.

Been getting my hair braiding at First Lady for over two years and have not been disappointed. Very loving and homey personalites and great stylists. I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE BUT TO FIRST LADY BRAIDING TO GET MY HAIR BRAIDED. Money and time ALL WORTH IT . I have endless compliments on my hair. Very neat and nice work.

I went to this shop 03/10/18 and it was absolutely amazing. My hair is very short from me cutting it and I was more than sure that they would not be able to accomplish the job. Boy was I wrong! Lol I normally don’t do this but if people can take the time out of their day to make a negative review why not make a positive one. The owner and the women there were more than welcoming. The entire time I was there and while getting my hair braided they all asked me was I ok? We had a great discussion and I felt so free and at home. I’m not from Nashville and I struggle finding good hairstylist but this shop is most definitely my go to for braids. I hope that God continues to bless each and everyone of those hard working women. I most definitely grew love and a bond with this shop. 🙂

I absolutely love Ms. Nabu & Abie!!! They are fast & flawless!! They work around my schedule & they always have something positive to say!! I also love her home made products such as shea butter &hair care products! I messed up my hair color & they still worked it out!!!
