I tried the salon for the first time today. I was the only one there at 9 a.m. after making an appointment earlier in the week. I was greeted at the door 5 minutes late. Then the lady proceeded to talk on a personal call and kept me waiting for almost 20 minutes until I walked out of the salon. A very poor first impression of customer service. I was able to find another appointment before leaving the parking lot at a nearby salon.

I went by the salon and saw that it said walk ins were welcome. I tried to call them twice that day to make an appointment to get a full set of acrylics, pink and white square tip. Nobody even picked up. So, because I was in the area today I tried to walk in. The shop owner walked up to me and asked if he could help me. I told him what I wanted and he said he couldn’t help me, and would I come back or make an appointment. I told him I didn’t understand because his door said walk ins welcome…. just to be told walk ins were welcome when they wanted to take them. Oh my goodness! That is so unprofessional! I didn’t mind waiting, but his door should indicate certain hours walk ins are acceptable if it isn’t all the time. There was literally one person cashing out and one or two other people there! I did notice by other reviews though that this is something they have done to others! Never going back and I don’t think anyone else should either!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueSo I want to point out that I do not live here, never been here, and I found this place close to my hotel with Google Maps. I work as a professional makeup artist and model for a living so I need a good manicure at all times and I’m very particular. I called an hour before they closed to see if they could still take me today. Not only did they say yes, they recommended a healthier nail treatment I had never done before (I usually do dip) due to the poor shape of my real nails. They close at 7pm and they stayed open another hour to accommodate my needs. Jennifer was my nail artist and she applied tips and gave me a french manicure with iridescent shimmer. I am beyond happy with my overall experience and definitely recommend. I am not usually a review person but after my experience, it made me realize how I should acknowledge local businesses and artists I come across on my travels. Be compelled to write a review out of love more than hate since most people write reviews out of anger. Hope this helps other people this holiday season. I had a great experience today with Jennifer. She was kind and wonderful to talk to. My nails are beautiful! She has been doing nails for 15 years and is the manager here, and I can tell! I don’t get my nails done often, because I’ve had bad experiences in the past, but I am thrilled with how they came out! Also, They have a policy here, that if anything happens with your nails, breaking/chipping, within 10 days they will repair free of charge. I’ve never been offered this before, so I was more than pleased that she told me about this. I have had damage happen after my manicure before, and I had to pay full price to have them repaired. One thing however, for someone who isn’t familiar with nails, the pricing online was confusing. I ended up paying more than expected. Luckily my experience was great and I was able to afford the difference, but if my experience was not like this I would have complained. I will not hold that against the salon because it is probably just my unfamiliarity that caused confusion. Thank you Jennifer, I’ll be back! You’re amazing at what you do, your business was wonderful.
