Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueWorst hair coloring experience of my life with Marie. She tried, thank you. She failed miserably, thank you. Afterwards telling me “the color of my extensions would’ve never matched anyway “ THEN TELL ME AT THAT AT THE BEGINNING. 450 dollars for this DISASTER. Everybody with HIGH QUALITY BELLAMI extensions… STAY. AWAY. I will have to throw these NEW extensions away now.Service: HairstylingWorst hair coloring experience of my life with Marie. The place has gone of the deep end with Covid. They won’t give you any water. Even if you are there for hours and your own water ran out. You can’t blow out your own hair after a $600 coloring service to see what it looks like and have to leave the salon wet. In the winter. The alternative is scheduling a blowout for another $100+ with a separate stylist. For the amount of money they charge, and the amount of money I have spent there over the years, I would have expected a higher level of customer service. Covid or otherwise. Very disappointed.

Critical: ProfessionalismI have been a client of the salon ever since it was at 57th street, more than a decade ago. The salon has certainly change through the years. It used to be a provider which absolutely understood luxury & was able to cater to a high end clientele. Now it is a caricature of its glory days. As a client, which in the past frequented the salon as much as 3 times a week, I have been almost saddened to see its continuing decline. Today I was admonished by the general manager for being late to my appointment in front of two staff members manning the front desk. Regardless of my lateness, this is completely unprofessional and there is no excuse for the action. It is offensive, and it would be so even to an employee. If there is something to be discuss, minimum standards of politeness require privacy. COVID or not management should not be able to get a pass on rudeness. In the past, I have witness the salon bent over backwards for the occasional self proclaimed VIP visitor, however peculiar or difficult, notwithstanding the cumulative meager earnings from these clients. I am a mild manner, courteous and generous client. In the past, I have waited for service at rush times, and I have tolerated gracefully a change of appointment on the 24th of December because my requested stylist called in sick at the last minute. Salons do not run with the precision of a Patek Philippe as we all know. Unfortunately, I left feeling liberties to disrespect were taken perhaps because of my ethnicity. Shame, shame on you.I have been a client of the salon ever since it was at 57th street, more than a decade ago. The salon has certainly change through the years.
