I used to love this place but my last 2 visits haven’t been good. I got acrylics here about 3 weeks ago & I had at least 2 nails come off & the gel polish was peeling off on the sides. Then I came in about a week and a half ago for a gel manicure & since then the polish came off on every single finger. I tried calling the salon to get my nails fixed but they have limited availability so I ended up going to another salon entirely.

The ambiance is cute, and the ladies here were all very sweet. But sadly, based on my experience and the price I paid (higher than most nail salons), I likely will not be returning unless I can ensure that my cuticles NOT be cut. Midway through my pedicure, I started to feel a low-grade stinging sensation on my toenails. Then, when the nail tech sprayed something on them, the stinging intensified. When I got home, my big toes were throbbing. I inspected my toenails closely, and noticed that my cuticles had been bleeding. Who knows – maybe my cuticles are more sensitive than others, but I would expect that such an issue would not arise at a nail salon that charges higher prices.

I scheduled a pedicure online about 2 weeks in advance right before heading out of town. A few days before my appointment, I received an email that my appointment time changed. The change was fine, but a phone call would have been great customer service to see if the new time actually worked for me. Showed up 15 minutes as directed for appointment because I need a soak off. The shop was closed! I called and waited around for 20 minutes and no one ever showed up!

Today was my first visit at the Feather Nail Bar. Carmen was my technician. She was amazing!!! I felt relaxed and at peace while she did my pedicure, and sipping on a glass of red wine. I will be returning and scheduling with Carmen! Pedicure

Have you ever had to contact a business through their website, because they were closed? Did you expect to receive an email or call back? Unfortunately that’s usually not the case…Feather nair bar is top notch!!! The services they provide and the customer service is exceptional!!!Not only did I receive a call back, shortly after messaging them through the their website, I was also able to cancel and reschedule my appointment!!! Simply amazing and divine is Feather Nail Bar. A wonderful addition to the Avondale Estates area, even though I live in Decatur! Haha! So glad Yelp put me on to this newly established salon. Hannah, my tech, took supreme care of me and I will definitely come back! Super clean, only 4 clients at a time. They take your temperature and ask for you to wash your hands before you’re serviced. They take the safety of their clients and staff very seriously, and I’m here for it. AND THEY’RE BLACK OWNED!!! ⚫

Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI couldn’t figure out how to edit and add on to my previous review, I decided to write a new one.I originally went to feather on 12/23 and the next day my nail top coat started to peel off and chip away.I left my review and then contacted the nail salon. The owner was extremely responsive, and when I called on Wednesday – 12/29 the staff was able to see me today, 12/30. The salon repaired my top coat at no extra cost.I’m extremely happy, I was able to get in, my nails were fixed, they look amazing.Thank you, Feather for hearing me and for getting in – in a timely manner to get my nails fixed. This location and salon are very cute. I was, unfortunately unimpressed with the service. When I arrived, they had me soak my fingers in acetone for 20+ minutes. They did not buff or score my SNS before soaking so it took forever to come off. After the acetone soak, my cuticles were so dry, that many of them split and bled during my service. My pedicure and manicure were both painful – my bleeding cuticles and the harsh mannerisms of my pedicure specialist – When she was doing touchups on my toes she pressed really hard with a pointed tool. My pedicure lasted maybe 25 minutes – Which was frustrating since I paid for the Essential and would have expected a decent massage and scrub. My manicure lasted over an hour and was just sub-par quality overall. I know my manicurist tried, but they just did not look good in the end and the entire experience was so painful. For the price of the salon, the overall experience was not worth it. If I pay a premium, I expect to get premium service. Lastly, the atmosphere was awkward – many of the workers seemed to be frustrated/fighting with each other. It was strange and uncomfortable.
