So I went to this woman a few months ago to get small box braids for the first time. It was very expensive, took about 9 hrsand she did not do what I asked. I asked her while braiding to please leave out my baby hair so it didn’t cause breakage (as a licensed hairstylist I know the hairline is the most fragile) I have a mix between Jamaican and Puerto Rican hair. They looked okay for the first couple of days, but she didn’t put enough product in to keep my hair from coming out of the braids as well as causing extreme breakage around my hairline. Had to take them out after 10 days. Waste of time and money just to have my hair damaged. I’m posting pictures of my natural hair, the braids and the damage for reference. Never going back, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
