I have been going here for 9 years and every time I go,I get charged $100 more for the same service . The last time I went it was very disappointing with my knotless braids .The lady put a bunch of hair on a little piece of my natural hair ,it was so heavy It formed bumps all around my scalp. The only person you can really depend on is the manager Fatty to do your hair correct .That’s sad when the whole staff should be consistent! I am now going somewhere else because of the inconsistency with staffing and pricing .

I have been to Fatty’s twice now (within three months) and both times I was very satisfied with the results!!! (A different stylist each time) My scalp was not sore afterwards from the pulling, and they listened to my feedback and concerns to ensure I received the style I wanted. The ladies in the shop are Fun and courteous and overall offer good customer service. I would recommend Fatty’s to ALL!! Stay safe!

Critical: ProfessionalismI made an appointment a week in advance and when I show up they tell me to leave because they are too busy. I tell them I have an appointment and they told me I had to wait for someone to come do my hair, I wait over 40 minutes for the lady to show and look at what I wanted and say “I’m not doing that”…..I was only getting two braids. I promise you I will NEVER go back there, they are RUDE and Unprofessional. I guess what I was getting didn’t cost enough for them to do my hair. I made an appointment a week in advance and when I show up they tell me to leave because they are too busy. I tell them I have an appointment and they told me I had to wait for someone to come do my hair, I wait over 40 minutes for the lady to show and look at what I wanted and say “I’m not doing that”…..I was only getting two braids. Yes, they have good stylists. However, there is a lack of professionalism with their clients and operations. I made an appointment and arrived at 9am. I was kept waiting for about 2 hours after washing my hair so that they can serve other clients who came later than me. In the past, it was never this bad, but it is reasonable to expect high quality service when you are being charged almost $200.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityAfter not having braids for 6 years or so, I decided to check out Fattys at my sisters request. When I came, I had an appointment to get braids but waited a 1 hour and a half before I was seen. After a week pass, I few braids came out of my hair and due to my schedule, I wasn’t able to goback until the following week. By the time I came back 6 braids came out of my hair and a few were very loose. Fattys was able to redo the 6 braids and a couple of pieces. 3 days later 4 braids came out. So I decided to just take my hair out altogether and not get braids again. I referred my aunt to Fattys also and after 2 days, one of her Senegalese twist unraveled. The staff is very nice. The owner is also very nice and professional. I may go back but I’m not sure because I asked specifically to PLEASE not braid my hair so tight and the ladies did any way which resulted in me having to go back the next few days and have them redo it. I couldn’t take the pain, and there were sores in my head. However, the ladies did fix the problem and my hair looked beautiful.

I thought I would try somewhere different to get my hair braided this time. They seemed friendly and inviting on the phone. They seemed to have a debate about who would braid my hair when I got there. They were talking about me while they braided my hair. Two women braided my hair in a timely manner but as I was almost finished another customer walked in to inquire about braids. I specifically heard the shop owner tell the girl a lower price and also tell her her hair would be fuller. I have way less braids than I usually do. My hair is nowhere near full like what I asked for. The edges of my hair are not even pulled into the braids. There are pieces of my hair left out of some of the braids all over my head. I will not be returning.

Went in for a change in my hair. My stylist was great she was honest with what color went with my skin n what did not. The color we both chose came out amazing! I highly recommend her. I will definitely be going back to her.
