I love the owner. She is sweet kind and considerate of if your tender headed. She makes a way for you not to have a long wait and she is always smiling. There are multiple braided and almost every style I saw I loved. This was not my first visit and it won’t be my last.

The staff is friendly and fast. I provided a photo of the hairstyle I had gotten there before (crochet braids high bun which i loved, it was a photo of me rocking the beautiful up do done at Fatima’s I used on Facebook to show off), showed the photo a few times and asked the braiding specialist not to braid my hair tight. I have thin hair and it’s not necessary to have my skin pulled.

I read some of the reviews on this place, and I must say I didn’t have any of those experiences today. I walked in and was immediately Greeted by Dianna. She was very nice, she asked how I wanted my hair, I told her and she definitely delivered! She started at 9am and was done at 12:30! My hair looks great! I got many compliments when I left! The owner Mona is very pleasant, she didn’t have an attitude as others have stated. She spoke to everyone in the shop when she came in. I would recommend anyone to go for themselves and get their own opinion! As for me I will definitely recommend my friends and family to this shop!

My sister referred me to this establishment because of the great experience she had, but this was not the case for me. No one wanted to touch my hair because it was too short. Now, I’ve had my hair braided by African women in the past and they have braided the smallest parts of my hair, but today they couldn’t. It’s not even the fact they couldn’t, but it’s the way I was treated and talked to like I don’t know my own hair.

My hair is always on point when I leave Ms.Mona salon. I don’t believe I have ever sat in the chair longer than four hours. I was referred by my aunt and anytime my daughter and I need braids we swing by this shop first. Now the ladies aren’t all smiles and giggles but they do respect the customers. Each time I go I feel unwelcomed, as the braiders are unfriendly and appear to be talking negatively about me or my daughter in their native language. Over the years I’ve went from getting braids and extension services to receiving loc maintenanceservices.No one is perfect but I love the fact that Mona cares about her clients and does her best to ensure that they leave with a smile. I returned today to get my interlocs retightened and I left extremely happy and the lady that does my hair ( it starts with an R I don’t want to mess her name up lol ) is always so sweet and gentle with my hair. i went her to get my hair done the say i normally do and the ladies in the shop was super rude i asked is someone can do Senegalese twist and was told no they didn’t want to do the !!! this is my 2nd time going up there and they did me like that and i have been giving them my business for 12 years they just lost a customer permanently!! i will be going down the street from now on to a different shop!
