This is by far the absolute best value for your money anywhere near Madison. This lady named Bev has been cutting hair, nails, facials, pedicures, manicures… She does it all with over 40 years experience. She’s a wonderful friend, a great confidant, but most of all I don’t think she’s changed her price in 20 years. Best money spent in Madison.

I wish I could give this review with “0 stars”. I went to this salon on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2:30 pm. I brought a photograph and said I wanted my hair like the photograph. I said I wanted all of my old hair color (brassy/dull) gone. I hadn’t been to a salon in over a year and needed my hair to be done right because I have an upcoming author/reader event. Instead of doing what was necessary to achieve the “look” in the photograph, the “stylist” chose her own path. I’m left with my old hair color/roots and ridiculous streaks that she added! My hair looks like a wild badger attacked it with markers. I paid a lot for a mess! When I told them I wasn’t happy, they refused to work with me to rectify the situation. They didn’t offer to fix it. UNLESS I paid again. Apparently they do not understand how business works. When a customer is unhappy–you try your best to make them happy. You do not tell them you “would’ve had to bleach the entire head and then add the desired color and charge 190 bucks. The way it was done saved money and time” —–when it is clearly a dark all over and add BLONDE afterwards. Easy and NOT time consuming at all. I paid 100 for this mess and another 20 for my daughter to get her hair “layered”. My daughter’s hair had a FEW wispy, face-framing layers in front and the back was trimmed. She didn’t even get a salon experience! Her hair looked exactly like it did when we walked in!
