Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueThis was the one time I was trying to treat myself.I should’ve known the service would not be up to par there was a couple of warning signs; I was not asked for a picture on the highlights I wanted or even asked what tone I was going for.When she did take me back to rinse me out and take out the foils. She did put a toner on again without asking what I was going for and then also put a conditioning treatment on my hair. I did not ask for this. I would have turned it down because my hair does not do well with these treatments, since then my hair has been constantly knotting and staticky since. I am still trying to level it back to the “normalcy” of my hair.I also like to give the benefit of the doubt, so after getting home I noticed that my hair was a warmer tone then I wanted and it was chunky and uneven. But I wanted to give a few days with a wash or two in there to see if it “even itself out” but since then I feel I have noticed even more that is wrong with my hair — blotchy, chunky, uneven. Particularly where I part my hair it is possible to see the blotching and the chunkiness. Perhaps I could get past it if it wasn’t where I part my hair everyday.Perhaps the worst part of all of this is that when I did call the salon to get ahold of the Owner I had to call several times, and then still found out “I had missed him”. But then I was told I was on the phone with the manager so I decided to go ahead and to tell them my disappointing outcome. I found out that this was also the hairstylist that worked on my hair. I am not one for confrontation and even sticking up for myself so I wasn’t looking to hurt feelings. But I began to tell her I was unsatisfied, she fairly quickly began to shut me down. I had opened up first about the price and she got hung up on it and condescendingly told me that “Girl go anywhere else it will be that price”. Again I am aware of this, I wasn’t considered about the price but more that I wasn’t given an estimate at first, because again I was believing the website about the starting price of 90. I brought this up to her and she responded that the starting price is actually 120, I said okay, and she said there was a toner charge of 20, again I said okay. I mentioned the conditioning treatment and the fact that I didn’t get a haircut she claimed she did not charge me for the conditioning treatment I said okay, she made no mention about the haircut. But still, if she quoted me at 120 with a toner at 20, let’s do some math, that is 140. With a full highlight, toner and NO haircut, and style. Why did it cost 170?Regardless this hairstylist had a hard time getting past me bringing up the price. But when I said that regardless I am unsatisfied with the result, she hardly choose to listen to why I didn’t like the result. I said something about it being chunky. She replied, again rude and condensing, “I know my work, it was good.” Is it not possible to ever make a mistake? She did offer to redo my hair but I told her honestly that I did not trust her with my hair. She asked what I did want and I told her again honestly I wanted a refund, she actually laughed at me and said “No, girl” and I tried to explain why and she cut me off and told me something, “I have 25 years of experience, I know my work was good. Okay?” She gave me just 2 seconds of silence before she said” Okay good.” And hung up on me.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their prices are misleading. The quality of work is definitely NOT worth the price they do charge. The owner does not seem correctly involved. And finally the customer service when faced with an issue is abysmal. As of writing this I have reached out several times and in different methods to try to get ahold of the owner.
