This is a budget salon so I didn’t expect premier service, and my husband and I tried it when they had only been open a week but I got a good haircut from Alanna which is what I wanted. I tried calling a few times in the last weeks to see if Alanna would be working but got no answer a few times, and a rather rude reply about schedules not being posted another time. Today when I called Pam answered and was helpful and friendly. I don’t need to be pampered and all I want is a good cut so I am happy. My husband has also started getting a haircut and beard trim there and it looks nice.

The owner of this Fantastic Sams must not know anything about running a successful salon business. There’s no receptionist, so the stylists are answering phones & checking in walk-ins while the client sits there waiting during their service. They only schedule 2 stylists at any given time, so many of the walk-ins are turned away & told to come back the next day. A salon should never be “too busy” that patrons need to come back another day. Besides that, too much time is spent on calculating how much the client’s desired services will be. They should create some kind of “package” deal for cut, color, etc., grouping services so the patron doesn’t feel like they’re being nickel and dimed. Hair services are a luxury, not a necessity, so to build a loyal customer base, the owners should understand both customer service and the hair industry, or hire someone knowledgeable to do that for them. I felt ripped off and after paying over $100 for services, I still didn’t get the customer service, the color, or the cut I wanted, and I didn’t even get a blowdry/style with that $100! I’ve visited SEVERAL Fantastic Sams & this is by far the very worst one I’ve ever experienced. Since they’ve only been open 2 months, the owner should shape this place up before the new year if they expect a profitable year in 2016. I DEFINITELY will not be returning to this place.

No one there on a Monday. Hours posted 9-6 on Mondays. Guess they must be closing. Not too surprised if they are closing, never that many customers there. Too many salons/barbers in this small town, but you have to drive ten miles to buy a toaster! Go figure!
