I have been going to Famous Sams for about 20 years. I am very picky about who does my hair. I started out with Sharon which was wonderful. She always did my hair the way I liked it and I never had a problem. She received a promotion and I started using Tamarie. She has the same hairstyle that I always want. Everything she has given me a per or a color it has turned out perfectly. My son has a long beard and he only trust Tamarie to trim it up. Her and I have an understanding that it needs to be shaped up and shortened a little. The way she does it he doesn’t even know what she is doing, but it looks 100% better when she finishes. I would recommend either Sharon or Tamarie.

Had a color and cut 2 1/2 weeks ago. The color (some form of dark purple I wanted brown/red) is still coming out of my hair. My hair was washed/conditioned one time and rinsed one time. I think it was a rush since the next person was there waiting after 1 hour. I’ve never been so embarrassed by the color of my hair now (now faded purple – see pic). I went to another salon to have it fixed, properly. I did not trust this salon anymore. I left with color all over my face, neck and ears and a piece of my hair by my ear that wasn’t colored (could have been due to the mask). I was told to use some sort of makeup remover to take it off (I didn’t know this, so I learned something new).I was asked if I wanted my hair, “half way blow dried or all the way blow dried,” I guess style wasn’t part of the services? I tried to wait to write the review until the color stopped washing out to give an appropriate review, but I couldn’t stand the color anymore. I wasted $100 since I’m having it redone 2 1/2 weeks later.

This is the only place I’m going to have my hair cut and colored from now on.About a month and a half ago, I got highlights at a different hair salon and they turned out bright orange. I panicked when I got home and dyed my hair blue to counteract the orange. It worked but looked terrible when it was faded, which it did quickly.Sherry was able to work with that mess and re-color my hair to a beautiful shade of bright red. I love it. I honestly don’t know how she did it because I know my hair wasn’t easy to work with. She was extremely detail oriented and even made sure to cover my little baby hairs, which a lot of stylists miss. Then she gave me a great haircut, which I also desperately needed. It came out GREAT! The best curly hair cut I have had in ages without the complete overprice at other salons. The layers fall perfectly and he took more off and kept adjusting the layers per request. Super patient !The foils he layered for the color correction were really meticulous. I was there for a while because he listened, took his time and did a great job. I am so glad I ended up in Michaels chair! He suggested adding low lights to finish the correction so I’m going back for those in a couple days.Highly recommend Michael. Such a great place to get your hair cut , colored and styled. On my first visit I was kindly greeted and promptly sat , washed and then led to the chair for a cut . Mrs.Becky is the most compassionate and skilled stylist I have ever been to. She cut my hair just the way I wanted it , so I returned to her a second time to have it highlighted. I can’t say enough about how great it looks . Becky makes you feel right at home in her chair and never strays from your idea of what you want your hair to look like . If you are looking for a great stylist at a wonderful salon please don’t look any further , Fantastic Sams is the place to go and Mrs. Becky is the woman to see .
