I’m giving a one star for one simple reason customer service. I am big on customer service and when you have a bad experience somewhere it tends to not make you want to go back. My husband went in there today to get a haircut. He was told they’d be right with him. He did not have an appointment. It says Watkins. Welcome. Well three or four people came in. The hairdressers decided to take those three or four people while my husband sat there for 45 minutes. No one spoke to him. No one reassured him that he would be in a chair. Soon. He was ignored that is unacceptable for a business let alone the employees to do. It says a lot about how you care about your customers. When you ignore them we will not be returning and he will go back to Great clips where we are appreciated as customers and treated with respect!

Been coming in to up keep maintenance on my military cut due to working on a base. I went to fantastic Sam’s in kinston today and was not pleased with my experience there. I showed miss Teresa (or However you spell this woman’s name) what darker color I wanted and she basically pointed out the color to me and we agreed on it. The result I got was basically lighter than what my hair was and my grays are still showing through. I’m very upset about spending 105 dollars to basically get all the dead ends of off my hair.

My son went in there last night in 1/13/23 to get his hair trimmed. My son had nothing but curly hair and he just needed it trimmed. They cut his hair and it is all gapped up. I will never in my life take my son to this place again. First off they were suppose to trim his hair not cut it but they cut it instead and then they didn’t do anything but gap his whole head up. My son called me and did nothing but cry and want even take hit hat off his head now thanks to this place.

I have been to Fantastic Sams in Kinston once before and left my barber $100 tip which i occassionally due for outstanding service. However, despite them advertising being available for walk-in appointments, the past 2 times i’ve come into their store, including today, I have been turned away. This is incredibly frustrating and a waste of the customer’s time. There was literally not a SINGLE person in the store, and the person at the front desk said that I couldn’t be seen today as they were booked full.
