I’m updating my review because I’m just not happy with the quality lately. My gel manicures last barely a week, and a regular pedicure lasts barely 2 weeks. I’ve been going here consistently since 2018, but I’m going to be looking for somewhere new to go.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy 4 year old daughter and I went to get pedicures. We called last minute on a Saturday and got 11 am appointments. As soon as we walked in they sat us in the chairs. We probably waited for 30 minutes in the chairs to get serviced but at least we were soaking our feet and getting massages. The pedicures were short but they did a good job. The Hello Kitty chairs for girls were pretty beat up but did the job for my 4 year old. My 4 year old daughter and I went to get pedicures. We called last minute on a Saturday and got 11 am appointments. As soon as we walked in they sat us in the chairs. We probably waited for 30 minutes in the chairs to get serviced but at least we were soaking our feet and getting massages. The pedicures were short but they did a good job. Critical: QualityI went to Fancy Nails recently two times. Both times the same nail technician did my nails. Both times she wasn’t very careful about not getting the polish on the skin. As a result, my polish has lifted as soon as there was any growth in my nails. I went 8 days ago and I have 7 days that have already peeled. When I called they were nice enough to offer to re-do them but they said it would have to be with the same technician. I’m not confident she will do this correctly again. In addition, they have raised their price to $35. Considering the quality of the service it’s not worth the money to go there. I’d rather pay $38-$40 and go to a higher end salon with good quality service. Critical: Quality, ValueMy girlfriend got a fill here. They applied the powder so thick and rushed through it. They didn’t paint the sides and as soon as she was done asked her to pay, not allowing her nails to dry. The nail tech didn’t apply the top coat evenly, making it obvious that parts of the polish are not spreaded correctly. When asked to do it correctly, nail tech seemed frustrated and annoyed because she wanted to get to a different client. She will never be going back here. I’ve been here a few times because it’s right next door to Bangs. Although I have been decently satisfied with the job done in the past, the service is always awful in my experience. It was not busy there and it took me 40 minutes just to be called to get my acrylics. The woman who did my nails was extremely rude. And every time she spoke to her coworkers in Vietnamese, she gave me a nasty look and I got a feeling they were talking about me. I didn’t like how the acrylic French tips turned out at all either. I was expecting real looking French tips, but instead, I got uneven nails with too much white. It is also way overpriced in my opinion. I personally would not recommend this place to my friends, but if you need to go and experience it for yourself, that’s fine. I have also read positive reviews (which I obviously don’t agree with). I hope this review helped.

Not so good. My nails came out too dark and the job was messy. I may go back and complain but what a pain. Should have gone to my usual place, but didn’t because crunch of time. In the end this place was a waste of time and money. I had the gel put on which is the bigger mistake, because I would have just taken it off myself. Now I have to go and get it taken off. So lesson to myself. If trying a new place always use regular polish,not gel cuz if they screw up then you can take it off yourself.

I went in today to “treat” myself to get a manicure and pedicure at 37 weeks pregnant. Last year I vowed to never return as I felt the technician that was working on my nails was impossible to communicate with due to a language barrier. Today I asked that the technician trim one of my big toenails to the same length as one on my other foot that I lost two years ago during a bicycling accident and is very slow growing. She was rude to me (she goes by Cathy) and told me that she knew how to do her job and I shouldn’t tell her what to do. She even told me that she knew what it was like to be pregnant and have a bad temper! I was shocked! I felt like just leaving at that point, but the conversation did get better on her end. Meanwhile, other customers were looking on and listening in disbelief and told me that they seldom go to this nail salon and gave me directions to another one nearby that they liked much better. I especially enjoyed being spoken about in Vietnamese. Don’t they realize that we know that we’re being spoken about and that it’s very rude? It was like the Seinfeld episode. After waiting 20 minutes for my nails to dry, I noticed that the surfaces of all my nails were bubbly – I was so disappointed. I spoke to Sue the owner. She offered to repaint them for me, but I had already been there for long enough and this far into my pregnancy, I needed to get my groceries and put my feet up. She was also very rude and argumentative which I had seen this about her in pervious visits. I will not be back to this salon and will go to another where the customers are treated with respect and do not rush through their work.
