Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI went for a dip powder. This was my first time going to this place. They didn’t clean up my cuticles or hang nails like you normally get with a manicure. They didn’t soak the nails in water to soften them either. Just put the tips on over my horrific looking natural nail. My one nail is crooked due to the dip not drying correctly. I asked them to do a design and instead of just saying they can’t do it, they attempted to do it (it looked horrendous) and charged me anyway. I said I wanted my tips short, they’re way longer than I ever get them which makes it hard for me because my job requires me to have shorter nails. At the end, I had to ask them to cut my hang nails because they were going to allow me to leave looking like I just did my nails myself. On the board it says it’s 30$.I started choosing my color, but the technician rushed me to the station and grabbed the color palette from the tray for me to continue color selection. He did NOT say these were gel colors on this particular palette.I never wanted gel, nor was I made aware gel is 13$ or so extra, I would definitely refuse. Why would I want gel on acrylic nails, especially for extra 13$- regular nails polish lasts fine on acrylic for me, that’s the only reason to do acrylic vs dip powder- it’s cheaper.When it came time to pay I asked why my bill is almost 50$. They said “that’s what you wanted”- communication is very poor here. In additional to 13$ there is also extra charge (5$?) for supplies. Now sure why this charge is extra, in small print on a notice, and why prices displayed are not changed. It’s to trick you that this place is cheaper than competitors.So instead of paying 30$+6$ tip=36$ like I expected I paid 46$+ 8$ tip=54$Do not come here, unless you want to be overcharged and when you question it all they will say “ you wanted” and scream at you.
