Positive: ProfessionalismMy job required me to travel to Lakeville for a day, and I was seeking a walk-in manicure from one of the businesses located in or near the Southfork Center. After stopping at Aveda and being told they could not take any additional appointments or walk-ins that day (around 1 pm on a Friday), I headed over to Fanci Nails. At Fanci nails, a very friendly staff member immediately greeted me and asked what I was interested in doing. In a matter of seconds, she accepted my walk-in request and asked me to wash my hands, then seated me with a technician to get started on my service. I figured they wanted clean hands to work on, but as I was receiving my treatment, I noticed other people requesting only a pedicure service, for example, were also instructed to wash their hands (even though they weren’t receiving any sort of manicure).I appreciate their effort in trying to prevent the spread disease and control the number of germs introduced into their place of business— not a lot of businesses offer a spot (other than the restroom) to actually wash your hands in addition to asking that you clean them prior to touching anything inside their building.As far as the actual service, I am very impressed. I came in with all sorts of nicks/papercuts/peeling cuticles, etc. on my hands and fingers and really needed the help of a professional to revive the health and appearance of my hands and nails. The technician was very gentle on delicate/tender spots of my nails, and cleaned up the surrounding skin and cuticles to prevent further damage. My hands and nails feel replenished and I will definitely stop here again if I’m ever in the area. I know I saved a lot of money and time by going here than my initial choice (Aveda) and I am doubtful anyone could have done better than the technician that serviced me. My job required me to travel to Lakeville for a day, and I was seeking a walk-in manicure from one of the businesses located in or near the Southfork Center.
