Critical: ProfessionalismSo I’ve been using this business for years, usually pretty good. I called asked for a take down (braids they installed) said I’ll be there in a hour, gets there they are already in the middle of two other people and the young lady ask me if I can come back I said no I called, and I don’t live around here I was told to come at a certain time. Now I understand that people get busy but every-time I get my braids the mom calls me to make sure I’m on my way and or verify my appointment, so when I got there she didn’t bother to acknowledge me, apologize, or even get off the phone. She just looked and continued, I would’ve been ok with waiting had the mom just shown me a little courtesy because I’m a regular and I tip. I also was going to get a style but I hadn’t decided that until I got there. So I’ve been using this business for years, usually pretty good. I called asked for a take down (braids they installed) said I’ll be there in a hour, gets there they are already in the middle of two other people and the young lady ask me if I can come back I said no I called, and I don’t live around here I was told to come at a certain time. Critical: Professionalism, QualityAbsolute worst experience ever. I took my daughter to get box braids and they did a good job. But it wasn’t until i took her to the pool when she went under water her braids starting slipping out. I called the shop to discuss the problem and they told me that box braids aren’t meant die water. And that if i wanted them to fix them that i would have to pay. My thing is aren’t box braids a protective style made exactly for that reason? I will NEVER use them again nor recommend anyone. Absolute worst experience ever. I took my daughter to get box braids and they did a good job. But it wasn’t until i took her to the pool when she went under water her braids starting slipping out. I called the shop to discuss the problem and they told me that box braids aren’t meant die water. And that if i wanted them to fix them that i would have to pay. My thing is aren’t box braids a protective style made exactly for that reason? I will NEVER use them again nor recommend anyone. They should just close down.

Over the years I noticed the decline of quality, professionalism, and most importantly their integrity. To make a long story short, the last straw with this shop was when I was quoted a price over the phone with the hair included . When I got there I had to buy $20 worth of hair on top of being charged additional $40. When I stated to the shop owner we had an agreement on the price over our initial conversation over the phone. She began to argue with me about the price and became irate and rude stating I owe her an additional $40.now mind you I’ve been coming to this woman 8+ years never had an issue about paying this woman what was due to her. To put the icing on the cake the daughter jumped up in my face as well . I’m far from confrontational I just paid the $40 and left. To be done in such a way showed me she didnt value her customer and will lie just to get over on a few dollars. To be treated in that manner of no respect and to be lied to my face. PLEASE PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS I’ve also noticed how she would convince clients to get a more costly hair style for extra money or will suggest a quick hairstyle just to get whatever money she can because she is over booked. Over the years I noticed the decline of quality, professionalism, and most importantly their integrity.
