I met Fatima 19 years ago at Elizabeth Arden Red Door in Reston. I booked a whole day of pampering services for my 50th birthday. I asked for the best hair stylist and they booked Fatima because she was their Regional Instructor. The rest is history. I had shoulder length hair and didn’t want to cut it. Fatima logically explained away all my objections. As she started to cut, what I remember so clearly is the feeling that she was revealing my best self. The more she cut away the prettier I felt. I was amazed! Now whenever I get my hair cut I always feel that I look 10 years younger. And that’s a lot to say at almost 70 years old. A great hair cut gives me so much confidence, and that’s the secret to my youth.
