This was my second appointment with Beatrice after trying various stylists in Charlottesville for a couple of years. On my first visit, she enthusiastically took the time to understand what I wanted — and communicated her understanding in a way that put me at ease. It was at least the best hair cut I’ve had in years (the only potential rival is my Knoxville Aveda stylist, Melody, that I had for five years prior). My hair varies in thickness and she skillfully adapted the cut to my hair in a way that elongated it, giving it a really nice texture and shape. On my second visit — after being out of town for three months — she precisely and immediately remembered my last cut. She’s smart with good business sense; she gives the kind of service that makes you want to come back, and is just a person that clearly cares about doing a good job. Aveda is also a pretty neat business model with very solid products. Both of my appointments really were the best service I’ve had in a long time. I wish I’d found Beatrice sooner. She really gives you a luxurious service for an unassuming price — this is hard to find and should be rewarded; tip accordingly <3

I worked with Jessy for my bridal hair trial and day-of style, and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome! I have lots of long hair, some of which is stubborn, but Jessy was able to get it to stay in beautiful curls, and she even learned how to do a Celtic knot design in hair! I didn’t even think to ask about it, but I showed up on the day of and we did it! It matched the theme of our wedding and looked great with my overall style. Aveda Face Value also did hair and makeup for two of my bridesmaids and makeup for my mother-in-law, and each service was magnificent. We’re so pleased with the outcome =)

She is knowledgeable, kind, and able to understand what the client is looking for while maintaining clear expectations. She talked me through the products she used but never pressured me to buy anything. I’ve only been to Aveda ONCE (so far) LONG story short I had my hair absolutely botched by a local salon. I left that salon in absolute tears at 7pm. My boyfriend called face value and they were almost closed for the day. That being said Zoe came into work 3 hours early the next day! Zoe and Ashley C toned down the horrific orange and brass face pieces so I was able to get to work. I have another appointment in just a few weeks at face value and I can’t wait! Before and afters are below. I definitely recommend!
