This place is such a GEM! I came back after a one week vacation with my kinky curly hair desperately needing to be tamed. Priscilla, the owner, was so nice and patient and did an incredible job silk pressing my hair to perfection. I don’t have pics but the difference was a GAMECHANGER! I can’t wait to go back. No weird energy/stares that you sometimes encounter in certain environments which I appreciated. I booked kinda last minute and was able to get my questions answered prior to my appt. It’s not everyday you find hairstylists that are just kind, courteous, & can deliver great results here in the city. Go let Priscilla take care of you!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueMy daughter’s appointment for medium knotless braids was for 12pm. She didn’t get started until after 3:30pm. When my husband and daughter got there, the stylist said that she was behind and asked them to come back in an hour. After waiting another hour, she said just 20 more minutes which turned into another hour. Not once did she apologize for the inconvenience nor did she explain that she doubled booked or whatever. The owner did apologize and said she would work with him on the price for the inconvenience. Well the stylist did large jumbo braids claiming they were medium and charged the “discounted” price the same as the listed price for large knotless. I do not recommend this place. Very rude and unprofessional. My daughter was very upset because it wasn’t style she wanted. I’m upset that they took advantage of my husband’s knowledge of hairstyles and scammed him. They made him think they were compensating him when all they did was manipulate him. Want to love this place, but had an off-putting experience today. I’ve had 3 appointments with various stylists and all went well until booking with Priscilla. I sat down in the chair and waited about 25 minutes to start the hair wash after being told my scalp treatment would take 10 minutes. I watched her do another client’s hair in the meantime – mind you I had an appointment, so there must have been a double booking or she was running behind before I arrived. Finally we start the wash and finish with conditioner. She walks off and doesn’t return for another 35 minutes, and other stylists start to check on me and ask if I’m okay. After other people took notice, my stylist returns and sits me under a dryer…this is a blowout and not a roller set…so I ask her why this and all the waiting is necessary. Her response is to ask if I’d like to air dry instead (while she works on another client), no professionalism or regard for having wasted a lot of my time up until this point.

Had a bad experience with my hair. The young lady knew exactly what to do. She didn’t have to cut all my hair off and I was so pleased she was very knowledgeable of her craft. I will recommend anyone to come.
