Went to this hair braiding shop to get my hair braided and this was the ending results. This is my first review and when I called to tell Helen(the owner) about my hair she tells me I’ve already been on google to do a review. I had to paid 220 for my hair up front because Helen don’t allow you to pay when your hair is completed. I’m very upset about my hair and I don’t recommend this shop to no one. They just want your money they don’t care about their customers being satisfied. This was very horrible hair braiding experience! Helen keep saying I went swimming who in their right mind would go swimming after paying 220 to get their hair done. That’s crazy!

I have gone to Helen for all my braiding needs since 2019. But unfortunately I have to change braiders. Being a loyal customer doesn’t guarantee loyalty treatment, a new Braider did my Senegalese(that I ALWAYS GET) bc the veteran worker doesn’t like doing Senegalese, I was told as she only completed the front of my hair. I understand for awhile she had no choice bc she was the main Braider for some time but if you going to hire new inexperienced workers, I wouldn’t put them on your loyal paying customers. Minding you I pay cost plus 10$ tip every time. If she doesn’t like working on a certain style she shouldn’t touch the hair at all. Not fair to the other Braider who doesn’t have a choice or doesn’t complain about the style. I’m sad to have to change because it was conveniently close to my home and I love helping people who work hard to take care of their children. But I can’t risk spending $220 for someone to practice or gain experience. The point of the protected style is to allow my hair to last and grow the new Braider didn’t use the jam or holding jam on more than half my hair. The twist began to unravel and my natural hair began coming out. They all were different sizes and not neatly twisted. Make sure to ask if the Braider is new or watch if Helen is watching their work.

I got knotless small braids & absolutely love my hair! I’ve received so many compliments and I’m happy I decided to let Helen do my hair. I was turned down by my regular stylist because my hair is considered “to short” after my big chop but Helen told me to come by and she took care of me. She went braid by to make sure no hairs were sticking out and did I mention I was out in 4-5 hours! Will be back again thank you Helen!

THIS place has earned its name! I’ve had the same hair braider for the last 6 years, so I was skeptical about switching.. However, convenience made me try “Excellent Braid” because they were closer to my house. I am SO HAPPY I DID!!! They were quick, did an EXCELLENT JOB and got my hair done in 4 hours. Very professional and comfortable environment. Felt like I was just hanging out with my sisters, chatting and getting my hair done. Feel like I’ve found a hidden gem big big Thank you’s, to Helen and staff!!

Literally EXCELLENT. My wife went in for her bday for waist length box braids and came home totally refreshed! Helen did a GREAT job and was worth every penny. This will be our new spot. I’ll be getting my hair locked next.
