Haircare provided at Evolve Studio is absolutely outstanding! Raven and Olivia took the time and effort to give me a the hairstyle I was aiming for and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Staff at this studio are welcoming, happy to assist with any questions or concerns, and they provide a reassuring and judgement-free atmosphere. They were able to squeeze me into their schedule on short notice and provide a high quality hair appointment. They didn’t rush through coloring or cutting my hair. I highly recommend this studio and I will definitely be returning for future hair appointments!

I got a balayage at Evolve today, which I have had done previously at other salons, this being the most expensive one by far. I liked the result at first but it was really subtle but I thought it was just the lighting in the salon, but it turns out it wasn’t. It was not worth the near $200 I paid since my hair doesn’t look that different. The experience itself was good, I just upset I paid so much money for such minimal change

Lauren was great with my hair and makeup. I’m from out of town and I would totally recommend them. I had a hair and makeup trial in July so we could do a run down for what I wanted in October for my wedding.

I’ve trusted Lauren with my hair for more than ten years and always get an amazing cut, color, and experience. She and many of her stylists take great care of me, my husband, and both our daughters. People approach me regularly asking who does my hair, and I’ve brought her a lot of repeat business, for good reason. When she had a health issue, she made sure her sub was well trained and versed in our preferences, so the transition was seamless. Highly recommended!!!

Critical: Quality, ValueI went in for a root touch up. Already platinum just needed my roots done. I got my hair done by Chloe, and she not only missed sections of brown hair (inches of it), but the sections she bleached and toned were still BROWN/ORANGE. She didn’t even let me know, and let me walk out like that. I went home and took a look and that’s when I seen it. Don’t trust the lighting in the salon, you can’t even tell what your hair looks like without being in the sun. I had to schedule a redo with a different stylist, Ashley, who was very sweet but the redo was not good either. My roots were still a different shade of blonde (3inches of it) and have now banded. There’s brown showing in many areas where the purple toner was slightly coating it. This is NOT a salon if you’re blonde, especially not platinum. I’ll try to get photos attached but I’m not seeing the option to add it.Update: photos uploaded. Hands down best Hair Studio in State College. Lauren used to do my hair in college so I thought it would only be suitable if she would do my hair for my wedding! I worked with Ashley to get everything organized and she was very nice and helpful. The studio is beautiful and spacious which was perfect since I had about 20 people getting their hair done too! They had a bar area where I set up drinks, food and snacks. Everybody’s hair and make-up was absolutely beautiful. Thank you ladies for making us all look beautiful on my wedding day!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went her last semester to get my already blonde hair touched up and my hair was left completely destroyed. It’s been around 6 months since i’ve been there and my hair still hasn’t recovered. I was left with bleach in my hair for an hour and so much of my hair fell out. Not to mention it was like over $200 for the worst hair service I’ve ever received. Please save your hair and money.
