Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityHave been getting my hair dyed for a while now since about my freshman year and am i senior now so about 4 years and I’ve been going here for long before having it dyed to a balayage light blonde style and had been going to Kamie since I was pretty young and she is absolutely amazing but veryy popular and somewhat tricky to get an appointment with due to my working schedule and not wanting to book appointments too far out into the future but I would definitely recommend her as well because she does an amazing job! I now typically go to Ashton for all my cuts and coloring and oh boy is she good at what she does it always comes out looking amazing and perfectly blonde! I have my hair touched to every so often quite honestly just depending on when i feel like it starts to look a little too grown out and then I book my appointment through their online booking. I recently got into Connor to get a touch up on my roots before my senior photos as i couldn’t get into Ashton and she did an amazing job and i would recommend her as well as Ashton for coloring I haven’t done lash extensions or hair extensions here but i have had a lash lift and tint done and it turned out amazing and definitely was great for the summer and would recommend getting one for anyone like me who has very straight but long lashes! All around i would definitely recommend evolution salon! I’ve been in Minot for over a year now, and have been to four different salons in an attempt to find a professional stylist that knew what he/she was doing and knew how to listen to (and interpret) the client’s needs. I struck out all four times! Then I found Ashton with Evolution Salon! I had been wanting to lighten up my brunette hair with highlights, and the other stylists left me with brassy, chunky highlights. Ashton listened to what I wanted and looked at the pictures I brought of cool toned highlights, and executed it perfectly! No more brass! No more 90s chunky highlights! She did a great job, and I’m so glad to have finally found a stylist I can trust! I highly recommend her and Evolution Salon!

Went in for hair color/ highlights, Ariel did AMAZING! She did exactly what I wanted and was so friendly and nice! The whole salon was so welcoming and the atmosphere was awesome! This will definitely be the salon I go to from now on! So glad I found this place!!

Critical: ValueI booked an appointment a month in a half in advance and told them I was going from darker to lighter. The receptionist asked me what time I would like because they had full availability. I booked for the morning. When I arrived at my appointment A MONTH AND A HALF LATER I was told by my hair dresser that she didn’t have enough time for lightening all my hair. Nor did she offer to hang up my bag, I set it on the floor. She wasn’t friendly and just told me no it wasn’t going to happen today she had other clients that also made appointments in advance. Didn’t try and help me or give me any kind of positive attitude. My hair looked the same as when I got there. The toner made it look a little less orange but that’s about it. 10 minutes to process color? Cool thanks that did a lot. Honestly I’ve never had a worse experience. She didn’t even ask me if I liked my hair when I was done. Asked if I wanted to have her style it but didn’t want to put her out so I just left. What a WASTE of $185. Could have done that myself. I came here after waiting way too long for a haircut. I’m pretty mistrustful of getting my hair cut because of bad past experiences (not from here). I booked online which was awesome because I have really bad anxiety and hate calling places. I decided I wanted bangs which I haven’t had since I was little and definitely needed my splint ends cut off – ended up being 3-4 inches. Ashton cut my hair and she’s so sweet. She did my friends makeup for her wedding too and I think she does amazing for both hair and makeup. She did exactly what I wanted and listened to me. I also trusted her to do what she thought would look best because let’s be honest – I don’t know what would look good and hair stylists studied and worked hard to understand hair and their job in general. Much respect for them. I really appreciated her ability to give advice on what to do and not make me feel awkward for answering with “I don’t know” probably more than I should’ve. Anyways, this was a long enough review. Moral of the story? I love my haircut, I loved the service I received and Ashton is a great stylist. I will 100% be using evolution from now on and I’ll probably even keep up with getting haircuts when I should. Thanks for letting me love my hair again! 🙂

This is be the only salon I will go to from now on! Not only was booking my appointment convenient (online, at 2 in the morning!) But they sent reminders which helped with my busy life. The moment I went in the environment was refreshing, and the customer service was amazing. Big props to Ashton who trimmed my hair, and gave it highlights! She did an amazing job and I guarantee if you ask for her, she’ll do a great job on you too.

Clean and well decorated, and no heavy hair dye smell. Online appointment process was pretty simple. My only concern was that my hair dresser didn’t seem to know how to do layers very well. I had to point out to her – after she seemed done – that the hair on one side of my face was about 1/2″ longer than on the other side. Also, my scalp was so itchy afterwards, then I remembered she lifted the hair sections above my head to cut and let the pieces mostly fall down on my head. Next time I should do a good shake upside down to get the extra hair out before styling. Finally, now that it’s been a week, my hair kind of falls in strange ways – one side flips out & the other side curves under. So, although Ashton was pleasant to talk to, I think next time I’ll try someone else.

One of the best haircuts I’ve ever received by Rosalyn! She did an awesome job at keeping the length of my hair, getting it healthy, but also gave me some great layers. As my hair grows out I love it more and more! As long as we’re in Minot I’ll be sure to always go to Rosalyn!
