I’ve know both the barbers from other barbershops and have always done great work. Other than knowing them for so long, Vic always does great work. Unfortunately, for me moving away from the area, i was always going there and if im in the area i usually try to stop by to get the top notch cut. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area. Keep grinding fellas.

The location is well kept, very clean and well organized. Barber dressed to impress. Sadly, probably most importantly, the cut was messed up. Side shave or undercut however it’s called. At first glance thought all was well. Got home, washed and dried my hair to find a chunck had been cut off of the back. Just a random chunck on the back toward the top right. It is near were it was being shaved so believe it was an accident but nothing was said to me before I left. Kind of ruins the experience. Hair grows back, if the barber had said something I wouldve just had him shave the rest off so it at least looks clean, but he didn’t say anything. I’ve since had it cleaned up elsewhere.

The shop is small, super clean, and totally comfortable. Vic is super accommodating, and its more like hanging out in your living room. The TV’s are on, and sports , or a good action movie seems to be the norm, not to mention the great conversation. You can tell that Vic takes his craft very serious, and the end result shows it. So I had been going to another barbershop in the area for a few years. I heard good things about Evil Fades and decided to switch. Made an apt online, got there five minutes before. Vic took me pretty much right away. Not only did he give me a phenomenal cut and shape-up, he took the time to talk with me, explain what he was doing, and gave me some much needed tips on my beard. Being located in the heart of red bank, this shop is fairly easy to get to. They give great cuts and my man Vic gives the sickest fades. He really takes the time to get it right. He also takes real good care of my beard and am overall very pleased when I leave. The shop is small and I know there are 4 barbers but I’ve only ever seen 2 working Lex the owner and Vic. Both are masters of their craft. They take walk ins but prefer if you make an appointment but even after making one I’ve had to wait over an hour to be seen. Their cuts can be pricey but you can’t put a price on knowing you have a great cut that gives you confidence.

Clean, Classy and a Quality shave. This shop has everything you want in a high end barbershop. Buddy is a consummate professional. As a professional, I believe a man’s look is only as good as his barber can deliver and Buddy delivers! Hot cup of coffee when I entered, great music & ambiance. Then the actual service: Full Shave, Hot Towel & Massage. Buddy’s exquisite attention to detail and precision shave is awesome. The space is impressive and a classic space for gentlemen. Can’t wait for my hair to grow back to go back! I’ll need to come earlier to play a game of chess next time.
