She promptly got me started (I made an appt for 11:30am) and had a lot of attention to details. My cuticles were nicely cleaned and pushed back, she asked how I wanted the nails shaped, the polish looks wonderful.

Was a first time customer on Friday, and went off of recommendations from here and Facebook! I got a full acrylic set and a basic pedicure. Cost me $70 with tip included. Full set was by Michelle and the pedicure was by owners daughter. They were very friendly, and nice. However the recommendations I got for my nails were for Michelle, which I thought I would be wowed, and I was not at all. My nails are not even and are really flat and wide, And my cuticles were not pushed back so my nails are not even. Today is day four and it looks like I’ve had them on for two weeks. Same thing with the pedicure I am not impressed at all, I was looking forward to a nice scrub and massage, but did not get that! Their selection of polish colors were not impressive and the bottles were old and dirty. Again nice people, just mediocre service! I expected more due to the recommendations I got! I don’t recommend this place to anyone and will not be going back.

I used to love this place. Had recent poor experiences. The last time I spent $100 on the dip nails (between tip and actual cost) that lasted less than a week even though they were “fixed” two days after I had them done. I was told they would follow up to make sure my nails lasted and I never received that follow up. I just went in for an express pedicure performed by a poor girl that told me she usually does hair. It was apparent that she had no idea what she was doing. I’m not sure what I just paid for. She didn’t even bother filing my nails down even though that’s the whole reason I needed a pedicure. I think I’ll be finding a new salon.

I’ve been coming here for years and enjoy coming here since it’s near the school where I teach. I always had the nicest technicians and as the years have gone by my favorite technicians have moved on to other places. However there were two times I’ve experienced disrespect. One time I was left waiting for an hour and was forced to leave without service. The final straw was being belittled in front of the staff. I was told I was a flagged customer. I’ve always paid and left generous tips. The only difference between me and the average customer at Evan Michaels is that I’m a women of color. Unfortunately after years of Evan Michaels being my favorite nail salon I will be forced to find another nail salon in the area. Some of the technicians are not friendly to women of color.
