I will first clarify that I went here once and it was about two or three years ago. I thought i left a review but apparently not. As a woman of color, I had a particularly unpleasant and unprofessional experience here. My esthetician was commenting on “the nature” of my hair the ENTIRE time. I told her my skin is sensitive, re-waxing the same area will hurt, she didn’t listen. I told her I’m picky ab skin/hair products bec of the results i’ve gotten in the past. I bled yet she missed lots of hairs. I had to AGAIN ask her to stop going over certain areas. She continued to recommend me the european wax center products because “they’re good for ALL skin and hair types” (that’s always a red flag statement when it comes to hair and skin care to me). I’m not trying to fully blame the esthetician because i know she was trained like that (seemingly, mostly to sell their products while providing a lazy, unsafe, uncomfortable waxing service). Being trained to work with ONE type of hair is unprofessional. It’s not the fault of the client who’s trying to pay you for a service that you pretend to be qualified to provide. My hair isn’t weird or uncommon, but i felt so self-conscious and embarrassed and triggered after this. Paid full price. Highly recommend going anywhere else.
